Got a RedLetter voucher for my 30th birthday, which I decided to purchase a "Hike, Helicopter flight and cream team" event with this company on a Sunday in September.
The first time I didn't look at reviews for something and I deeply regret it!
Me and my friend decided to do the "hike" before the flight, but it was not a hike, it was a walk through some woods and then half of it was on a road with no footpath, so quite dangerous in my opinion.
Turned up to the flight and asked to use the toilets, but was informed that the café was closed so there were no toilets. With this in mind, I then enquired about the cream tea after the flight, as was subsequently told that this was no happening and to she would let the company know so I could be issued a refund for this, but for me to do this as well.
I did this in the next few days, as I heard nothing from then, and then the individual from the company implied that I was lying when I said I had not received chocolates and bubbles, that were suppose to be in place of not receiving cream tea and was stated on the voucher. I agreed it was stated on the voucher, but apart from the check in lady munching on a box of chocolates, we did not get offered any. Maybe because we were the last flight of the day they were all gone, and we went to a local cheesecake place instead as we were so hungry.
The main point that doesn't sit well with me is that they said the café was "unexpectedly" closed, but I looked up the opening times for said cafe, and it is closed every Sunday....
Also, if it was unexpectedly closed, how could you have chocolates and bubbles prepared..?
Really awful customer service and didn't even apologise in the first instance.
RedLetter Days not anymore helpful, will avoid both going forward.

My missis booked helicopter flights for my birthday, we been waiting for 3 months, flight got cancelled with hours notice, next available date in 9 months, can't get refund... Such a scam.

I bought a voucher last year for a birthday in May and I have just received yet another cancellation message from this company for my London flight. This has now happened on four separate occasions, twice this week. They stated they have put us on a priority waiting list but every time they are canceling the flight, they don't answer to the telephone and email address is noreply@. This is totally unacceptable and feels like they are trying to get us to upgrade our flight. This was a joint birthday present last year and 1 year later still has not taken place. They have extended the voucher to the end of June, which was 28th of August last week, a disgrace.

First helicopter flight booked was cancelled because of ‘weather’. Second booked flight cancelled ‘technical fault’. No one wants to fly if any danger but no effort on their part to make alternative or additional provisions to accommodate disappointed customers; you go back to the end of the queue! Flights are few and far between with the result that it becomes almost impossible to get a flight within their Apr – Sept window. An e’mail claimed an opportunity to fly but it did not appear on their booking mechanism so impossible to access! Of course you are invited to upgrade to an ‘available’ flight at increased cost! Any contact through their website results in an absence of any customer care, absolutely no sympathy for their customers but the voucher date expiry rapidly approaches, and you have lost all monies paid! They have been paid and therefore no incentive to provide any service. Don’t think that you can get a refund despite their failures; check the terms! I am now booked for next year; not the special birthday treat, and absolutely no confidence that it will actually happen! If you think that my experience is not typical, then check the other review sites. I wish I had. Suggest you donate to the air ambulance!

Incredibly poor customer service! - I was bought a helicopter flight for my birthday, but fell ill with Covid and ended up in hospital for 9 days, sadly when my flight was due.
Despite 5 emails, I received absolutely no reply emails or any return communication whatsoever, they still have my money (Including an extra I paid for a front-seat upgrade) with little hope of either a refund or to re-book.
Beware - internet based company only - Even their Head Office does not take calls.
Avoid at all costs!!!!!

Absolutely do not book with this company. Extremely poor service, they don't respond to requests or emails etc. I have been trying to book since June 2021 when I gifted a voucher for my partner's birthday. This company are a joke. They have cancelled twice stating poor weather and now refuse a refund. To add insult to injury they claim my voucher is redeemed!! They also keep sending me no reply emails for further flights and asking me to update and part with more cash, unbelievable. I am still waiting..................

Booked through 'Red Letter Days' (another joke of a company who won't give you a refund if you take too long to re-book). Was cancelled on 3 occasions due to 'bad weather'. Absolute joke of a company as they wanted to charge me another £25 as they said I'd took too long to re-book. Where's the customer service gone these days?

Flight was barely 5 mins long for £100 per person. Took 3 goes to get a flight that was not cancelled. Helo company appear to be very hostile on line to any criticism. Bubbly was very small glass of very sweet fizzy wine - quite unpleasant.
I expect this review to subject to typical rant how everyone is an idiot.

I visited North Weald airfield only to be told that my helicopter trip had been cancelled (flights before and after continued). I wasted a days holiday and after several phone calls and emails I eventually received a reply and offered a £10 discount from another booking ! Absolutely no customer service
