For what we paid I expected more.
There's not much to do tbh we had seen everything within a hour.

Completely run down, very expensive and a big disappointment.
Water murky and tunnel dirty in what should be a viewing experience, could barely see the fish/sharks unless they swam so close.
Such a shame, could be such an amazing place

This was such a disappointment,we took our 2 young granddaughters who were very excited about going.We arrived and it cost £60 for us to get in.It took 20mins to see everything and that was us taking our time.
The building inside was very worn out and looked makeshift,you had a feeling that it could fall apart at any time.The giftshop was very expensive. When we got outside my granddaughters asked when they were going to see the special surprise we had told them about,obviously that was it but the disappointment on there faces said it all.Needless to say we will never be back,a waste of our time and money.Not worth seeing

The aquarium is very small and overpriced for what you see! The water before you enter is very dirty ( no animals in it thankfully) best part was the seals. A lot of the glass on the tanks needs a good clean! Went to the cafe for drinks, again quite expensive and staff seemed awkward. Children I was with enjoyed themselves which I guess is the main thing! You also get fantastic views of the Forth Bridge! We travelled by train and it was easy to find the aquarium from the station but it is VERY hilly to get down and then back up. Gift shop was ok.

Please do not support this place, it is very tired and in desperate need of reinvestment. It's depressing. Ordinarily, we love visiting the aquarium but feel embarrassed this is now our local one. We won't be going again, yet we would visit regularly if this were not the case. Have made the 1.5 hr trip over to Loch Lomond Sealife twice now, to get our fix and avoid this place. I emailed to ask if there are plans for reinvestment, and to say we simply can not support until improvements are made. They never responded.

Awful experience! For the price of entry this experience should have been updated long ago. The displays are aged and grubby looking, lighting poor, aquariums dirty. The talks are poorly shared with over powerful amps and microphones held too close skewing the information being spouted too fast and loud. Wheelchair access is awful with manual doors opening and closing the opposite way to support entry/exit and ramps damaged meaning it’s difficult to navigate with one. The most expensive hour of non entertainment ever for my family.

We visited today and decided to go for it opening, we bought tickets online thinking summer holidays it may get a bit busy to queue up… how wrong we were was very very quiet….. before entering there’s a massive waste of ground filled with water that of course catches your eye being the first thing and later on in the cafe that is your sight to look upon, the management is missing such a great opportunity if this was brought into play and used for animals ie crocodiles or something down those lines by the terrain surrounding it instead of it just looking utter poor!
Thankfully we were only paying for 2 adults as our kids went free as they were under 3. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU HAVE KIDS OLDER THAN 3 DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
We walked around the whole place in roughly 25/30mins… was disappointed myself but of course kids weren’t. Only bits I enjoyed was the tunnel and the seals, the seals bringing me back to my first point about the wasted ground, surely the seal enclosure could be made bigger especially since it’s so small!?
The cafe yes it’s over priced but what do you expect? Anywhere nowadays has its over priced cafe. Just be mindful that it’s not the staff who work there that set the prices and end of the day they’ve turned up to work to make sure you get your day out.
Baby changeing facilities were quite horrendously smelling awful… not sure if it was bins not changed or something else but somebody needs to look into what’s going on there!

Very run down, went into the Lego place first as we weren’t sure where the entrance was, staff on duty was too busy on her phone to acknowledge customers.
Arriving into the aquarium there was very little to see and we walked around in less than half an hour! The tunnel was filthy and ironically there was two staff in scuba gear pretending to clean the tunnel! The seals were in stinking water and looked miserable. It cost a lot for entrance yet it seems very little is being put back in for upkeep and maintenance.
We planned to eat in the cafe but the cost was high and looking at the food other people had ordered it looked very cheap quality! Such a shame the management of this facility is so poor as it’s in such a lovely area under the forth rail bridge.
It also doesn’t have any dog friendly facilities.

Poor for the price you pay. in and out, in less than half hour. Seal feeding was only highlight. Hardly any tanks or that tunnel larger than other places but poor variety.

The last time I was here was about 30 years ago and took my kids today for first time
Cost was £61 and we didn’t get value for money place is dated the glass tunnel you walk under is very dirty and can’t see the fish or sharks that good
Not a great deal to do or see here
Went to the cafe prices on the high side I thought and cafe could be doing with a facelift as looks like it’s never been done since it’s been opened
Certainly won’t rush back anytime soon
Very disappointed

Do the staff take kids photos? I'm taking my Neice soon and wondered if they take a photo like Blackpool sea life ? Also do they have a gift shop?

cannot eat there. however, you are near sone beautiful countryside. also a short drive takes you back to North Queensferry and eat next to their harbour.

Hello, I am planning to visit Deep Sea World this Sunday. Do you think I can cover both Dynamic Earth and Deep Sea world in one day?

Unless you want to see all the great talks that both facilities have to offer the two could be easily accomplished in a day. Deep sea world is open from 10am to 5pm but you want to be there at least one hour before closing time to get access. Deep sea world can take up to an hour to explore if you are not wanting to see the talks or overly bothered about taking photographs. Deep sea world also has a shark classroom where you can see an impressive little collection of fossils and have encounters with bearded dragons, snakes and insects, but dynamic earth also offers a similar experience but more towards the earth sciences as a whole rather than marine biology/conservation which would obviously take a bit longer to explore if that's your kind of thing. The two can be accomplished but otherwise it would be best to take up membership with deep sea world that way if you are ever in the area you could always pop in just to see the enclosures.

Hi, best to look on their website as they have different types of tickets ie family tickets, advanced and flexi tickets etc
It may also be worth keeping an eye on Groupon and Itson for reduced tickets. Hope that helps.

Went to deep sea world today and we have just found out that our entry was supposed to allow us into an exhibition about the bridges which is called SPAN - a tale of three bridges due to run till end of August. Why did the staff not inform us about this and if the exhibition is not available then it falsely claims that it is on the DSW website.

There is not currently an octopus exhibit. Our main tank is holds 4.5 million litres of seawater and is home to up to 20 different species of sharks, rays and fish. Best still there is a 112 metre moving walkway through the tanks viewing tunnel.

I think you could cover deep Sea world in a couple of hours, however I don't know where your other venue is :-)
