Fantastic boat trip around the beautiful coast line.
Roy was a knowledgable friendly skipper, we were so lucky saw a humpback whale!!

Great trip in October half term. Friendly Roy greeted us on arrival and, after a minor detour to the loos (further down the esplanade and behind a code door so best to go before arrival) we dressed up in the provided waterproofs and for underway. Sadly not much cetaceans ( we saw some seals, sea birds and lots of beautiful waves!) but Roy did his best with facts and sights and rollercoaster spins before heading back to harbour. Can’t control for animals being shy so 5 stars for a clear and friendly setup and will definitely return to try again another time! Thanks so much.

Make sure you are dress up properly for the tour.
The tour was amazing even my kids age 4 & 6 enjoyed very much!! Roy boat captain was sound too 👌 Highly recommend

Brilliant experience! Not having the best sea legs I packed my husband and daughter off on the rib whilst I stayed ashore with the dog. My daughter's face when they came back was an absolute picture - beaming from ear to ear and happy stimming (she's autistic) for hours afterwards. She was desperate to do it again so I swallowed my fears, pulled on my big girl pants, left my husband with the dog and went with her this time. Aw man, so glad I did! Aside from the wonderful sense of freedom and excitement from whizzing along the sea and bumping over the waves our host was absolutely fantastic. He pointed out wildlife along the way, took us past the seal colony where we sat for a bit and just watched them watching us watching them watching us - so calming and peaceful. He was full of stories about the cliffs and caves. We were there during a local week long festival and he recommended some events to go to (which we did). And the finale where we zipped about the sea at the east beach twisting and turning in the rib was just brilliant fun. We've been going to Lossie for a few years now and I can't believe we waited so long to do this. It's very definitely now a guaranteed treat on our annual holiday. Top tip: take some glasses / sunglasses to keep the wind out your eyes 😀

Great trip on a rib. Saw basking sharks and dolphins up very close. Guide/captain was excellent, very knowledgeable and informative. Definitely worth it.

The guide Roy was brilliant . Was a little bit nervous going out but reassured use all and was very knowledgeable on the wildlife and being able to see dolphins basking sharks and the seals

Great tour with lovely seals seen up close. No dolphins on our trip, but we had a great time. You get to see the caves you can't see from shore and learn all about the history.
A final fast part was fun!!!!!!

Great adventure - well organised - Roy offered plenty of local history and knowledge as well as some exhilarating albeit wet water based hand brake turns !! Great way to see the coast of the Moray Firth !

North 58 Sea Adventures came highly recommened by the
WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre. So we spontaneously booked a tour and went on it only 3 hours later. Roy, our skipper, gave us wearher gear and life jackets and then we needed to hurry, because dolphins had been sighted around the harbour. Our expectations were really low and we hoped to see maybe one dolphin. But we got really lucky. We saw two different pods of dolphins with several individuals each. One group even had a mother with her calf in it. We really liked how respectful Roy was with the dolphins. He kept a slight distance, never chased them and explained how they tried to never stay longer than 15min with the animals, because otherwise they would get stressed.
After leaving the dolphins we got to see seals and quite a lot of birds. It was a really special trip for us and we highly recommend it.

We went on a two hour trip in a rib boat to see the sea life and the history along the shores, we were hosted by Roy and was 5* ..

I would love to book this excursion for my husband and myself. Are there set times of day when the boat trip takes off? We are trying to see if we can do this as well as the Speyside Cooperage tour in the same day. Thanks so much!

There are set times, you can pick up a North 58 leaflet in most coffee shops pubs also bookings can be taken on the internet or phone. Ensure you get there early so that you can get kitted out in your waterproofs, wear something warm as the windchill can seep in. The trip is around two hours so a trip to the cooperage as well is possible. Hope this helps, we only saw seals and seabirds but the trip is worth it for the boat trip especially the high speed run to end the trip.

Hi I am plan to go the boat trip with my two son who is 10 & 1 the coming east holiday. Isn’t the good time to see dolphins?

It’s nature you take your chances, we saw birds and seals but I found seeing them in their natural habitat fascinating. Try Emailing North 58 they are normally very helpful.
