My friend and visited Islay and used Lamb for 2 taxi rides and a day hire. The company was very responsive with inquires and reservations. Our drivers were all great and had lots of useful information.

We would highly recommend Lamb Taxis - from the immediate response to our enquiry prior to our trip to Islay through to being driven to distilleries and picked up again later on time it was 5 star service all the way. Lucas is a delight and very knowledgeable about the island as is Margaret Ann. Added bonus was meeting Bella the dog! We would definitely use Lamb Taxis on future trips to Islay.

Lamb Taxi is a great taxi service on Islay. They responded quickly to our rental request/emails and they communicated with us the day before our taxi was booked to confirm we were all set. Having piece of mind that our taxi rental was all set allowed us to relax and enjoy our short stay on the island. Margaret Anne drove us to the Lagavulin Distillery and picked us up after the tour. We really enjoyed her company and talking to her about the island.

When we arrived in Islay airport there was an end table that had taxi service business cards and Lam Taxi was the first number we called. Lucas (owner of the company) picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. After we got checked in to the hotel and realized that the taxis in Islay were hard to come by, we called Lam Taxi and Lucas went out of his way to have one of his drivers (Niall) come to pick us up so we could make it to our distillery tour. We arranged to have Lam Taxi pick us up at the end of the day’s tours and we got to ride with the last driver at Lam taxi (I believe her name is Maggie) and we were lovely. All of the drivers were talkative and enthusiastically chatted with us about Islay. I would highly recommend contacting Lam taxi as soon as you have finalized plans for a visit to Islay and get them for the entirety of the visit.

Me and my wife had the best experience with Lamb. They were always a few minutes early and took us reliably at different distilleries and places across islay. I recommend them 100% and would use them again.

There are three things you need to know before your next trip to Islay. 1) The whisky is delicious. 2) The bus is total crap. 3) The only way to reliably get around the island is with Lamb Taxi. Lucas and his team were far and away the most hospitable and gracious folks we met in an island known for its hospitality. When planning your next visit, make sure you have Lamb’s number in your speed dial.

It was such a pleasure to work with Lucas and Islay Lamb Taxi! He was able to organize transfer for us from the airport, to our hotel -- and then transfers to Kilchoman and Bruichladdich distilleries! Very helpful - responsive to email/What's App communication. During the busy summer months - would strongly recommend booking taxi/transfer trips well in advance. He also is the owner of Islay Bike Hire. We rented e-bikes to cycle from Bowmore to Bunnahabhain - great bikes, beautiful day of cycling.

Outstanding service! Took a number of taxis over two days. We were picked up on time as arranged and dropped off at various locations around the island (predominantly distilleries). Knowledge and friendly drivers who made the trip a pleasure. Can highly recommend.

Only needed a quick taxi from Bowmore to Bridgend but we were very grateful for this taxi picking us up.
Being city dwellers we realised getting a taxi on Islay was more complex :-)

What a fabulous day we had thanks to Lucas . He was so helpful and hospitable and very knowledgeable. Our arrangements changed several times but nothing was too much trouble , he even minded the 3 dogs while we were whisky tastings .
Lovely island and great , polite and helpful service . We felt special and the whole trip was a pleasure
