We were given a voucher for Afternoon Tea which was beautifully presented with a lovely selection of sandwiches which were freshly made and very tasty. These came with a little cup of delicious soup and warm sausage rolls. We had scones with jam and cream and a great selection of tray bakes and cakes. Everything was home made and as we couldn’t eat everything we were offered a box to take it home. Thank you, great service and we thoroughly enjoyed our treat. Would definitely recommend- book first.

What a hidden gem this is. We were looking for somewhere to take the children (age 13 and 20) whilst staying with grandparents locally. Our first experience was the driving range enjoyed by the whole family followed by lunch which was tasty and well presented, we were so impressed we booked afternoon for the following day, this was a delicious range of sandwiches, pastries, cakes and scones all served with tea, coffee or Prossecco if preferred. The staff were very helpful and informative telling us a little of the history lake and it's curling past. The children enjoyed the golf so much they took themselves back the next day for more practice on the driving range. Looking forward to visiting again when we are back in the area.

Very basic, sandwiches cheap fillings. Cakes very simple looked more like a child would make.
Table clothes unironed and very dated.
The gentleman serving was very polite, it's not a place I would return to.
I believe they need to look into the presentation of the food, the spoon was already in the jam on arrival which had jam down the side of its bowl, as was the cream, it's basic bordering on infantile,
Instant coffee not ideal.
I can't understand how it's described as a hidden gem, however my review and in no way malicious, but it desperately needs to be updated, if it wants to secure a position as to being remotely up beat or classy.
I reiterate the gentleman serving was very polite.

Had our wedding here on 27th July 2018, and it was perfect from start to finish. The staff at Green Valley went above and beyond for you, nothing was ever a problem for you. The venue decor was perfect, just how we wanted it. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue or party venue. Cannot talk highly about this place enough!

From the outside, I didn’t expect anything special as it is a sport facility and quite no nonsense and industrial looking, but once inside, wow! Hall covered in white net and fairy lights, so beautiful, with ample dance floor and lovely atmosphere. Bar prices good, and the food...the food! Gorgeous....really enjoyed it. Soup, chicken in a peppercorn sauce with veg., apple crumble and custard...all beautifully prepared and presented.
The staff were attentive and friendly, asking us if we were enjoying ourselves which I really liked as they don’t usually venture to ask, or comment, and the lady who ordered a taxi for us went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we got it ok. Very impressed- thank you for a lovely evening and experience!

Popped for a coffee with friends and stayed for a lovely homemade chicken curry, rice and chips. £6.00 great value and quality. Peaceful surroundings and views included.

Where do I start this is a must from the food to the service (very attentive) everything was excellent and a bargain at £8.50 per head , the sandwiches and the gorgeous home baking was wonderful and we got to take home what we couldn't manage to eat. Will certainly be back 10 out of 10 well done Green Valley Golf Academy.

4 of us went for coffee- 1 black coffee, 1 cappuccino, 1 latte, 1 white coffee, 3 scones and a carrot cake. All freshly made, the scones were HUGE and just out of the oven. Service was very good as was the price. Great service. This is an undiscovered gem-there is also a senior citizen lunch for £4-95 which shouldn't be missed.
Green Valley may just be outside of Stranraer but should not be overlooked, you get a nice welcome and great service and food. Give it a try

We have been twice for the pensioner lunch, last time we took friends, and they were also impressed.
The value is great, You get a lovely soup starter,plenty in the bowl,which was very tasty.
A choice of three mains, steak pie, chicken, or fish, also plenty on the plate,accompanied with sides, then to finish , A choice of coffee or tea, and this for £4,95 EACH, AMAZING VALUE,

The food was superb. Brilliant prices to match the dinner. Service was also great, couldn't knock it one bit. 5 minute drive from town centre and completely worthwhile. Would highly recommend visiting.
