This zoo was by far the worst we've visited. Barely any animals about (fair enough, that can't be controlled, animals are entitled to their own space) but their enclosures seemed shoddily kept and rather small.
Not many keepers about to ask for information. Looks like lots of bits of work started but not finished, equipment left out everywhere.
VERY EXPENSIVE for what there actually is.

The zoo is well laid out but has plenty of slopes to negotiate although given that it’s a mountain zoo, perhaps that’s to be expected. Don’t miss the sea lion talk, it was the best part of the visit.
Many of the animals were not out during our visit but you can’t force these things. Only one of the cafe’s/restaurants were open for any form of on site refreshment but I would advise you to go home hungry as the quality was horrendously poor. The tea was the right colour but had no flavour at all and the jacket potato with cheese wasn’t hot enough to melt the cheese which also lacked flavour as the filling.

Absolutely beautiful example of a zoo, the grounds are well presented and the views across Llandudno are breathtaking. Play equipment is well maintained and caters for all ages, the selection of animals showcase local (welsh mountain goats) and animals from further afield. We have visited on a few occasions, the cafes and restaurant are reasonably priced and the animal talks are great.

Visited the zoo today and it was an amazing day out, lots of gorgeous animals to see and it was lovely and quiet so could just amble around at our own leisure,will definitely go back again in the summer

A lovely zoo. Enclosures were good size and well maintained. Animals all in healthy condition. Sea Lion talk was very good. Swings and slides were great with kids spending as much on these as they did seeing the animals! Views all around surrounding area were fabulous. HOWEVER......the food on offer was terrible!!! Ordering was ridiculous via only one giant tablet/screen. Took forever to navigate with a queue forming behind us. Then we were told we could order at the till so if you

Went to this zoo yesterday for my birthday all way from South Yorkshire England. What a lovely place! The animals were great & got some fantastic photos. The views were amazing!! Can't wait to go again in summer. Was a great set up so didn't have to follow each other & plenty of room also got plenty of excersice. It could be a bit strenuous for the elderly or people who have mobility problems. We didn't have anything to eat as already had dinner but they are plenty of places to eat & I imagine you could take a picnic providing don't feed animals. The lady on the ticket hut was really helpful & friendly. Overall I give the zoo on a breezy February day 10 out of 10 so roll on summer.

Really lucky we got to see nearly every animal, apart from the snow leopard… great day, only let down was the prices in the restaurant, nearly £12 for a basic burger and fries, I understand the money goes to keeping the zoo open, next time would take a packed lunch.

Really great day out in typical Welsh weather. Loved the talks , the big enclosures and range of animals, the layout, the range of things to see.
The staff were really personable and friendly. The admission price was very cheap albeit the cafe was expensive with no heating.

Absolutely fantastic day out which is very good value for money and very friendly staff. Scenic views and very spacious and accessible walking paths. Highly recommend to everyone!

What's a good amount of time to allow? We will have to leave the dog at home and would like to know if it's worthwhile in say 3 hours?

It is small but you can take as long as you like - they put on shows with some animals - very reasonable cafe - could do the rounds in a couple of hours but we all have a different pace.

I cannot answer that honestly but the zoo is well organised so I would be very surprised if they don’t have some kind of storage system. I would ring them direct especially if you need any refrigeration.
