Been coming here every summer since I was little and absolutely love it. All the people on porches and friendly folks, I just love it. Definitely worth a week if you have the time.

We've driven through this unique community filled with older homes where they originally trained religious folks. Most people get around on golf carts and enjoy the many activities that are planned each week. You can stay in an old 'hotel like' place or in one of the really well kept older homes. Their booklet will tell you the whole story that I cannot.

Really cool neighborhood - after reading about it, we did a drive through. Lots of cute and interesting houses of a particular era. Colorful houses with porches- I could just imagine spending summers there. Families still come for the summer. I wish there was a museum to visit showing pictures through its history.

Staying overnight in Monteagle I read some reviews on TA and thought it would be similar to Bay View Michigan with old summer homes in a religious community. It did meet those expectations but we drove through at sunset and I'm sure we missed some of the beauty of the park like nature and the historic homes. A lot of winding one way roads that ended up being somewhat confusing (especially after dark) but it would be much nicer in the summer and in daylight.
Wife recovering from surgery and walking is difficult so it was nice to simply drive around and view from comfort of the car.
Interesting to me our hotel host and several locals where we ate dinner had no idea what we were talking about when we asked for the Sunday School Assembly. Too bad for them.

Many older homes and facilities for people to use. We stopped by just to view the place, and it looks like a nice place to spend some time.

I love the atmosphere of this community. The cottages are each unique and charming. Once you turn into the grounds you go back in time to a simple way of life. We were guest at the Edgewood Inn on the grounds there where the food is good and each room well appointed with nice linens and comgortable beds. It is a once in a life time opportunity to experience this community.

Completely enchanted with this place. It's like Seaside in the mountains! Quaint cottages surrounded by college town University of the South. Completely loved the weekend spent in an 1850s cottage. Highly recommend

We have rented different cottages in the assembly, all very different. We have loved each and every one. Love the assembly, Monteagle and Sewanee. The entire area is quaint and beautiful. The assembly is a great place to stay. We love to just walk around and look at the houses. I highly recommend to anyone that wants to get away and unplug.

I spent a weekend in one of the victorian cottages in MSSA and I cannot wait to return. The grounds were charming and the hiking trails led to a beautiful bluff and waterfall. It was quiet and safe and felt like a home away from home. I will be recommending this place to everyone.

This is a great place to get away for a few days. They have tennis courts, theater,bed and breakfast. If you are there in the summer there is a nice pool. They have cottages to rent and a cafeteria. Just a neat place with very old homes. I always like taking my company over to see.

Weekend rentals are available in August. You can check them out on the Assembly’s website. There is an auditorium which shows family-friendly movies during the “season,” which ends on August 5th this year.
