‪It’s okay if you like everyday Asian food. Apart from that there’s nothing. No clothes shops, no book shops, no shoe shops, no music, no newsagents, not even a Post Office. Definitely nothing cool or interesting. There is a train station and some pigeons. And a shop that sells lots of little plastic things for the kitchen.‬

‪Box Hill central sucks‬

‪Worse shopping centre. Took forever to find out shop because absolutely no maps. And you have to pay for parking. I never go back to shopping centres that charge for parking.‬

‪Box Hill Victoria experience‬

‪A fascinating visit to Box Hill central . I write this saying that I love multi-cultural Australia and the variety this has provided but Box Hill has gone too far. It is not just Chinese dominated, it is almost 100% Chinese and while this is quite amazing to see in an Eastern Suburb ( affluent ) in Melbourne there is actually a serious lack of variety when it comes to eating. Apart from McDonalds there is simply no other eating choice other than Chinese and Asian . Having eaten Asian food 3x in a row we were looking for something different tonight but to no avail , simply 100% Asian , so had to go back to the hotel and Uber eats to get something different. I am afraid this is no longer multi- culturalism in Box Hill.‬

‪no decent shops left, only Asian food available, all being redeveloped constantly, traffic & parking a nightmare, for what?? go to Doncaster or Forest Hill, so much better and you dont have to stuff around paying for parking with the stupid machines, only at doncaster you do if its more than 3 hours.‬

‪This mall does have some good food options for sure, and plenty of Asian and western fresh market/butcher options. But as a mall overall, not a great deal else to be honest. Happy with the food alone though!‬

‪This shopping centre has been criticised but I find it interesting, with many Asian options.

A majority of the population speak Mandarin or Cantonese, in some cases better than their English.

There are quite a few Asian dining options but on my most recent visit last week, I headed to Woolworths supermarket that has an excellent range, including of goods from Asia.

The bus terminal is upstairs and can be windswept, while the Metro trains' railway station is underneath, with ramps plus escalators.‬

‪Wow. There are so many Asians here that you don’t really feel that you are in Australia. Understand that 80% of the population are Asian, even the supermarket feels Asian.‬

‪Just 15 km east of Melbourne. An authentic Asian Market Place and Shopping Complex. Fruits, Vegetables Fish and Meat. Lots of Restaurants, Groceries and Stores and you won't get tired !

‪Fresh food market is main attraction‬

‪The main attraction of this place is the fresh food market. My wife and I drive here once a fortnight to buy groceries from the market because prices are a lot cheaper than the inner suburb which we live in; and have lunch at various dining outlets within the complex. Lunch here is also cheaper than in inner suburbs.

There is a Woolworths Supermarket and a Coles Supermarket, various car parks, train station and bus station.‬

‪Average Shopping Centre‬

‪فبراير 2021‬

‪Well established shopping centre with great transport links for train, tram and bus. Also plenty of undercover car parking. Good selection of stalls in Food Market. Large Woolworths and Coles as well. Rest of the centre including Main St limited and very average. Many Asian cafes to choose from on nearby Carrington Rd and Station St.‬
