Been coming to town for three years now and so glad to finally have a find beautiful coffee at Purple Lily. They make great cakes to go with my coffee too.

When I stepped into this little tea house, first impression is its brightness and colors. It is small but pleasantly and colorfully decorated. Besides the dining area, there are rooms display gift items and clothing. As for the food, choice is not many but enough for a light lunch. The Shepherd Pie that we ordered is good, steamy hot when served, just like freshly baked from the oven. The scone we had for dessert, served with cream and jam, is properly warmed up. Though I would like to have less sweet jam next time. The owner cum chef Andrea and her mother Beth were very friendly to make you feel welcome and well taken care of. Well done.

This wonderful Tea House/Gift shop is the new venture in Lancefield.Maybe new is not quite the right description as it was originally Purple Lily across the road but with the ingenuity of the owner she has successfully combined the Tea rooms with the beautiful gifts that are sourced from all areas.The coffee is good and I'm sure with a little time it will become even better.The speciality is a new take on an old favourite,The Hot Potato,with a variety of toppings I'm sure the humble spud will once again become on the must try list.The range of Wood Wick candles that make you feel that if you closed your eyes are listening to an open fireplace,maybe for the romantic? Homemade soups,scones,quiches and a small range of biscuits and cakes and of course the spuds are really worth a visit.Be prepared to be surprised.
