The water was clear and cold. It was nice on this really hot day. There is not really a beach. It is stones were you would have a beach. Make sure to wear water shoes because there is rocks all over on land and in the water. The scenery is calming and relaxing. Heads up: People leave their trash. Please help by picking up your trash and don’t bring glass! If you do break your glass please clean it up. We had to find a place to sit that didn’t have glass broken and left behind by people.

I go out to the lake on weekends in the summer and fall. While there are always plenty of people fishing and engaging in other water sports, I go to dive. It is a lovely peaceful lake for this activity but it looks like a good place to swim, kayak, etc..

Very peaceful and the amenities around the park were amazing! Highly recommend visiting if in Kerrville, TX!

Stillhouse Hollow Lake is a great deep water lake in Central Texas. It is surrounded by USCE parks. It has great fishing spots, swim beaches, a marina, camping, picnic areas and scuba diving (there’s a dive shop open on the weekends at the marina). It’s a beautiful place for a family outing or to go relax and read a book.

This lake is perfect for an intimate get away. It has parks around it and is not too busy to be a problem. I have taken my family and enjoed the picnics and swimming.

stayed for 3 nights - enjoyed the peaceful open view - restrooms clean - grass mowed - staff (Robert) friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed a couple hours at Belton Carnegie Library Museum & Court House.

This is a piece of heaven tucked away from the mainstream life. The park is well kept, the toilets and showers were clean, the water was beautiful and the shore line was uncluttered.

Took a ride just to see it .had our travel poles but was so windy. Nice serene place. Would love to kayak it next time here

A large reservoir in the area. Not really a sking or swimming lake. Primarily a fishing local. Water levels fluctuate frequently and knowledge of the lake is helpful. Lake has largemouth and smallmouth bass in good numbers wit a good chance of catching very large fish.

Stayed at Union Grove Park at Stillhouse Hollow Lake. Very few campers so very peaceful. Lots of places to walk. Nice bathhouse. Fire ring, picnic table with roof and plenty of space for a car.
