Fingal head such a great place to see,there is small light house,and beautiful views of nature u can see on top.

Fingal Head 🌻
Street parking was minimal but a relatively short walk. The views from the point , lighthouse area were magnificent. Stunning view.

easy walk with track to you can't get lost. interesting walk and was easy to do with our 5 and 6 year old kids. view from the top is stunning and you can spot whales and dolphins in season.

great place to go if you want the beach to yourself and catch a feed of fish off the beach. quite area, friendly locals

Lighthouse was small but the views were amazing, we walked to Dreamtime beach from the parking area then to the lighthouse. Only thing I’d make sure you take insect repellent for the walk because the mosquitoes are ruthless, still worth the walk.

We climbed Fingal Headland and checked out the amazing view. The lighthouse is automated but you can see the foundations of what I assume would have been for accommodation for a lighthouse keeper. The original lighthouse was first built in 1872.

Awesome viewing from this position right next to the little lighthouse. It over looks Cook Island , along with Dreamtime beach and back at Fingal Beach

Easy walk and not busy despite school Holidays
Plenty of parking can walk to beaches The lighthouse itself is pretty ordinary but the walk, views and beaches are worth the short walk

Fingal lighthouse stunning views and a brilliant spot for whale watching and to sit on a rug and have a cuppa (BYO).

Standing up on the Fingal heads headland looking out over the sea, you can feel the power and majesty of the ocean and your own insignificance in comparison. The weather was perfect with blue skies, not a cloud to be seen and a beautiful breeze that just added to my feeling of awe, confirming that nature is alive and so amazing.

Is the path (walk) to the lighthouse suitable for elderly people with impaired mobility? My Dad would like to go but is on a wheely walker?

No, the path is not suitable for elderly people with impaired mobility. There are steps at the beginning and at the end. In between, the path is quite wide but sandy in parts. If you do get up the final steps/hill, the paths by the coast are not suitable for people with walkers as they are sloped, not flat, and go up and down.
