The description says four acre of water features so I guess I was expecting more water fountains than there were. What there was there were pretty, just not what I was expecting.

The water gardens were not quite what I expected. The water was very green in one of them and another had water in only part of it. One was completely closed off and dry. There's a lot a concrete there. Parts of it were pretty though.

The water was turned off. I understand droughts and conserving water however, no where was this mentioned on their website or on TripAdvisor. Very disappointing to pay for an Uber to get us there simply to find a dry water garden.

All water fountains were closed down. No signs posted. Very disappointed after paying to park and walking in the 94 degree heat to find it empty.

This place is at the southern end of the core downtown business district. I had visited it years ago when I lived in Fort Worth briefly, but I did not recall much about it. We were in the area and had 30 minutes before a nearby lunch appointment, so we stopped by.
We arrived around 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday. There were a lot of people around and it seemed safe at that time; I'm not sure what it is like in the evening, though.
We were able to find street parking about 2 blocks away. It was free at the time (I think the parking meter said that it was free on weekends and after 6 p.m., but you should double check that if you are using a metered space).
There are at least 2 entrances to the park at opposite corners. There appeared to be 3 different water features surrounding a small plaza in the middle. There were also stone-capped landscaping / walls surrounding the place.
The first and most popular feature is a sort of inverted ziggurat where the water flows down into the lowest point. There are block stairs (no railings) via which you can access the low point and look up at the terraces. We descended here and checked it out. It was interesting but can get crowded.
The next feature is a sunken pool surrounded by walls. You can descend a staircase and be at pool level. I think it is supposed to be a more serene setting.
The final feature is a slightly sunken pool with spray heads at intervals, creating a spray level about 3 feet above the pool, along with shifting rainbows if it is sunny out.
If you are in the area and have at least 30 minutes, this is worth seeing just for the novelty. Kids seemed to like it too, mostly for the opportunities for climbing on rocks or steps.

Stopped here after viewing the eclipse a Samuel farm in Mesquite. This is cool and nice white noise. Three different water features and seating plus a big climbing wall

This is a strange collection of concrete pools with a lack of greenery. The reflection pool was nice but the other pools are nothing to write home about. It was hot in April so I can’t imagine what it would be like later on in the summer. The water garden that you walk into looked extremely dangerous to me. We chose not to go down and doesn’t feel like we had missed out on anything.

The Water Gardens had many stone steps and trees which offered great views of the Fort Worth skyscrapers. This location could be found in the Downtown area. There was metered street parking, but it was free to park on the weekends. I really enjoyed looking at the multiple fountains, and I could tell that a lot of work was put into the design of this park. It was free to enter this park, and I felt safe in this park.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens is in fact, one of my favorite places to revisit when I return to visit Family in the Dallas/Fort Wort Areas. In 1975,I was a extra actor at the site, as a Sandman Enforcer I was in the military then an sort of Glided into being in it from a Film Casting Friend, Love it,and I plan I visiting it again soo,. I will most likely be there in my Sandman uniform when I do.It will be the 50th Anniversary in 2026.

One of the closest I know of is the place connected to the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel right across the street South-Easterly direction. Also, about 3-4 blocks away in the downtown area, there are a number of places to eat. However, I did not eat at any of them so I can't give a recommendation.

The convention center is close by, so if it is open then you can go there, but I don't recall restrooms specific to the park.
