I think if we visited again that we may score the dockyards differently but on this occasion we arrived just as a cruise ship docked. Quite a few shops to look at but we felt most were selling touristy products at inflated prices. Kids were disappointed that the golf was closed. Very busy, so would like to go back to see what else there is to see.

The Dockyard house’s Bermuda’s National museum, plus a great craft market (native made items), an art shop, and a shopping mall (Clocktower). Worth visiting.

We visited the fort and museum as well as visiting the dolphin experience as well as wandering around the entire area. We arrived by 12.20 and had to catch the 4 o'clock ferry back. Had we known how interesting all the museum and fort would be we would have caught an earlier ferry because sadly we did not have enough time to see everything properly. Not sure what it would be like if a cruise ship had berthed because it was very quiet. There are a lot of shops catering for the cruise passengers.

Nothing Open !!!!! No cruise ships means no tourists means everything closed except for a couple restaurants. I thought this would be like a Faneuil Hall in Boston or Seaport in New York. No! Mainly local nic nac stores….and almost all closed. One very nice pottery gallery and a drug store but that is it.

Visited on a legal holiday and there were no cruise ships. A big difference in crowds from my first visit a few years ago. This former Naval base has lots of hidden history. Took a nice leisurely walk and saw a few things I did not see before. Lots of food options still open as is the Bermuda Museum. A nice way to pass the afternoon.

We visited the Royal Naval Dockyard on a cruise call to Bermuda. There are lots to do and see here, with shops and museums, bars and restaurants, art galleries, a beach and marina. You could spend the whole day here, especially in the warmer weather. We were there in the closed season, so many of the attractions weren't open, but we had a wander around the Clock Tower shopping mall and the gardens. You can catch a ferry or bus here to Hamilton - the ferry is quickest but the bus is more interesting - there's lot to see on this beautiful island!

We visited this facility as part of a cruise and initially were due to spend 2 days in Bermuda. Sadly our cruise company changed the goalposts so that we had less than 1 day in Bermuda. We were unable to r
Travel to either Hamilton or St George’s and were restricted to spending time in the Naval Dockyard.
It had a few shops and cafe’s but with so many people stuck at the dockyard Getting a seat at any venue was a premium.
It had a land train plus a free land train with a restricted route for disabled or elderly visitors.
We found prices to be much higher than we were expecting leading to our belief that prices had been hiked for the arrival of over 3000 people from a ship.
The weather deteriorated during our visit forcing most pass3ngers back to the ship earlier than anticipated.
The dockyard had a few tourist boats plus a ferry to Hamilton.

There is much to see here inside the fee area/fort, and in the shopping mall. Reasonable entrance fee for the fort and museums. You have almost total freedom to walk anywhere on property. Several good places to eat. Ferry and bus service. Incredible museums and science exhibits.

Hey NCL cruisers. Does anyone know if NCL is operating its ferry service from the Dockyards to St. Georges in 2019?

Where can you take the free trolley from? How long does the ride take? Can you hop on and hop off?

Be careful. There is dock construction and the shuttle route has been shortened, especially if you’re on Celebrity.

Hi, is this a kid-friendly port to dock at (15 yr daughter, 12 yr son). They might be more interested in activities, etc. Please advise. Thanks.

It is nice for a casual day of strolling around, checking out the museum & few shops, and eating (enjoying a band maybe). You can also participate in the dolphin experience.

We will be going to Horseshoe bay but want to take a taxi or minibus so we can spend the day rather than just 3 hrs on the excursion. Does someone know if the taxis and minibus come to the bottom of the hill and how easy is it to catch one for the return to the Dockyard?

I hope It's not too late to respond; just saw this question! It is really easy to get to and from Horseshoe Bay. LOTS of mini vans available pretty much all the time. We were there last summer and paid $7 per person one way. But I thought it was worth it! I worried a bit about having availability when we were ready to leave, but totally unnecessary worry. There's a large parking lot where you are dropped off so you do have to walk a bit. Horseshoe Bay is glorious! Enjoy!
