Open the bar. Called round every night but to no avail. Same thing and no one could tell me about it

M very sorry you feel let down but as Facebook, instagram and the websites www.bardiaminds.com have very clear information on the current situation and our neighbour Olive tapas bar has chosen to remove all the signage and the security cameras of his own free will I can u derstand why you’d not have found the information,
Please che k out our face book Facebook.com/bar.diamond for the fully story but it like a spy novel with drugs, prostitution, intimidation and destruction of a bar and servers beatings for the owners,
I hope after reading you consider either removing your one star review or increasing it as these reviews have a disproportionate impacts on our business going forward.

Fuimos a tomar una copa en plan tranquilo y después de 10 minutos apareció un individuo con pinta de ser el dueño o encargado y empezó a subir el volumen de la musica de una manera exagerada molestando a todos los demas negocios. La musica estaba tan alta que ni siquiera podia oir a mi pareja. Eran las 21.30h Encima se puso de manera desafiante hacia los encargados de los restaurantes, como si fuera un matón. Empezo a discutirse con los encargados de los locales colindantes y con miembros de seguridad. Sentimos vergüenza de la situacion y nos levantamos.
LAS DISCUSIONES Y EL MAL AMBIENTE DE ESTE BAR ES INSOPORTABLE.

I remember the night well because I was punched in the face and the security guards told me to stop making trouble. My husband was kicked when be bent down to pick up his phone that had been slapped out of his hand and we were pushed away by security while they stated because we like men we have a duty to shoot ourselves.
You don't have to take my word for this the videos are posted on the Facebook page and there is a Police Hate Crimes case open and due to be heard in court very soon.
I believe I do remember you very clearly, you said something about your anniversary being ruining. You fail to mention that the volume of the music in out bar was a direct result of another bar raising their level so we could not hear our own music.
I do remember you accepting to eat at a restaurant owned by the people making the loud noise and pushing and kicking us and being asked to write a bad review and you did not have to worry about your dinner payment.
Your vision and memory are clouded by what you could get for free and no complaining about abuse but not taking the time to see where the abuse was directed. The National Police having seem all of the video and phone footage and heard the language used against us have put us and all of the staff on an at risk register until the court case is concluded.
I hope the dinner was most enjoyable and you this review makes you feel important.
We are a gay musical bar that has been in the same location for 26 years, we have been putting on fantastic shows all that time. Now we are faced every time we prepare to start a show with homophobic security being called. The music from the other bars massively increased to destroy our shows and we receive continuous homophobic abuse. Did you not notice there were only two of us, me and my husband receiving the pushing, punching and kicking and two security guards, 6 door men from other bars and various other employees from there businesses surrounding us until the National Police arrived.
Please look at our Facebook page with the videos from that night, see me hit in the face and listen to the security guards words, this is a fraction of what happened. Then maybe you will rethink your review

Bar très bruyant, musique trop forte qui rend impossible tout échange avec ses amis! Le bruit est inversement proportionnel à la convivialité. N’oubliez pas vos boules quies!!!

Thank you for your kind review, you forget to mention that if you sat at the front of our terrace our music was still being drowned out by a bar on the other side of the main square. When our music is turned off the volume we receive from them is enough to activate our music limiter.
Our music was 86db because that is the level set on the music limiting equipment that we have to have because we are a licensed musical bar. The other bars in the square that made it feel so loud on that night do not have a music license according to the tourism board and therefore are not troubled like us with limiters.
There is a current court case in process to resolve the issues, if our tone sounds hard we apologise but coming out of covid and finding an illegal night club built with no noise restrictions that means even without any music playing in our bar it is often impossible to talk has had huge impacts on our business and the speed of the justice system means it has taken two years but we finally have court dates. We have been in the same location for 26 years. If you look back the problems are new and increasing as the neighbours are keen to take over our location as it controls the central square of Yumbo and we are very tired fighting and having to listen to their terrible music so loudly every single day.

Went here for a drink and ended up staying all night. Cocktails were fab and the we were kept entertained by Beverly Hills who had the bar in stitches laughing. Thank you for a great night; a memorable holiday night out- we will be back! Oh …and the toilets are the cleanest around this place!

Great friendly bar that go out of their way to help you. Especially the lovely Ailyn who helped us dilute our pure vodka and cokes a bit more

Thank you for coming and visiting and especially spelling Ailyn’s name correctly she is smiling even wider than normal if that’s possible.
We are well known for not holding back on the measures and when we say large or even XXL you’ll never be questioning how much alcohol is in there lol. Always happy to help out if the strength catches you out compared to other bars.

Recommended by a friend but didn't get off to a great start to be asked for a covid pass before we even got in when we hadn't been asked anywhere else! The lovely (very easy on the eye!!) Scottish waiter then explained to us why we were being asked for it and we then understood, so it was all fine. Same waiter, I didn't ask his name, then took our drinks order and had a friendly chat, making us all feel welcome. Especially with that accent, I could have listened to him all night. The drinks arrived, beautifully presented. An espresso martini, the best I've ever tasted. A strawberry daiquiri for my friend, which she loved. Plus a bloody mary for her husband - served with the seasonings on the side so you can decide how spicy to make it. Genius! I'll be having that next time!!! Decor is very stylish, bar and toilets VERY clean, music videos on screens around the bar added enough atmosphere without being too much. As mentioned, service was wonderful too. We returned the next night, sadly our last night of the holiday, to be welcomed by the same Scotsman. He even remembered our drinks choices from the previous night - a great touch, felt very genuine - and asked if we wanted the same again. This time however, we decided on 2 bloody marys and a strawberry mojito. Again, all delicious. Highly recommend this bar if you're looking for a stylish venue with amazing staff and customer service, high quality drinks and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning!!!!!!! 10/10 to Diamonds!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write the review and we are all blushing just a little at the praise. We have worked continuously over the years to keep everything about the bar and the drinks crisp and fresh but maintaining the personal friendly touch that has seen us survive for over 25 years.
I’m not sure people understand how much it means to us when people take the time to write a review like yours. Scott, our Scottish staff member was positively beaming when he saw the review and you noticed during your visits he’s always happy and smiling to start with!

What a lovely bar. Absolutely the cleanest bar we've been in. I couldn't fault a thing. Exceptional covid measures. We received a lovely welcome of blue diamond shot and a mince pie on arrival. The staff were all lovely and you could really sense a team environment. The live music and Miss Beverley Hills really made our night. Thank you all. A new favourite. Thank you for your effort.

Been coming to Gran Canaria for a long time. Visited diamonds many times. It’s fabulous. The new refurb is great. Cocktails were amazing and very well presented. All ahead up by the amazing waitress Simone! The only place to be seen on the island is here.

It’s a centrally located bar in the busy Yumbo Centre. Drinks are reasonably priced and taste good. During our visit we were initially seated inside but it was very warm and were moved when a table became available to outside. Due to the sudden influx of customers possibly due to easing of covid rules service was a little slow but the staff on the terrace were doing their best and it was only a minor setback

Thank you for your review, it has been very warm even for Gran Canaria recently.
Apologies if the service was a little slow when visited, as you say the easing of UK travel restrictions made a huge and sudden difference to how busy the bar has been. We have not had a single free table most nights.
