Played 3 of 18 holes and left to go to a more friendly course.
The golf pro approached us at at the 3rd hole and told us that "the chronic bitcher had called and complained" because we weren't playing fast enough.
$120 down the drain and we'll never go back.

Two of our group traveled from Lubbock and one from Dallas to play Canyon West. Great golf course, friendly staff and good food.
The only negative was a group of local golfers that acted like they owned the place. It was unfortunate to have a great day spoiled by a gtoup of rude jerks.

This course is wide open for the golfers like me that have trouble keeping it on the fairway. Played last Sunday 10-23 at 10a. Course was not crowed and in decent shape. There was some over-watering on the back-nine which was annoying and the sand traps could have been a little fluffier. Played at similar priced course closer to the DFW area and this course was well worth the drive. I can't wait to go back for another round in a few weeks.

Great day out not many people during the week. The cart girls were very friendly and loved to chat. They were definitely working for those tips lol

Beautiful views, phenomenal elevations, kid friendly, very challenging. This course has it all. Cool driving range. Good value.

I have played this course several times in the past. My golf has been limited but this is a good place to play. The course was in great shape and I was impressed that the greens had gotten better. You will enjoy the course.

Fantastic, beautiful venue for Wedding Rehearsal Dinner. We had about 80 people show up. The McGaha's are great to work with.
They were helpful all along the way and were there the night of rehearsal dinner to make sure it all went well. We were blessed by them!

It is a little bit of a drive from the DFW area, but Canyon West is on of the better kept courses.
Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Friendly staff on top. Reasonable rates. Great views.
Definitely coming back.

Have played it many times and it is definitely on the upswing. Ownership has upped the conditions and amenities. I brought someone out this time who had never been, so as we were progressing through the course, I was renewing my appreciation for the layout and character through the experience of the first timer. Played just after the recent rains, so a little wet in the bunkers and the greens were on the thick-side, but not complaining...enjoyed the views and the breeze. Neat, unique place with all the ponds and rock outcroppings, etc.
