We reviewed Sherwood Hills Golf Course last years and gave them a hardy endorsement. On our visit this year, we found the course conditions better, clubhouse staff friendlier and more helpful and had an even better time then last years. The rehab center has closed since the last time we played here, so all you will find here now is golf, peace, serenity and wildlife

This course is located up in the forest between Logan and Brigham City, Utah. The first couple of holes and the last two holes are in the woods so any errant tee shots are impossible to find. The fairways on those holes also slope to shots hit into the middle may end up in the woods anyway. The other 4-5 holes are out in open meadows and are fairly easy to play. Lots of burrowing animals so holes can be a problem. The regular price for nine holes is a bit higher than surrounding courses but they do have specials for seniors that make it cheap enough if you walk. Cart prices are also a little higher than normal. The main advantage I have with playing there is the lack of people so it is generally easy to just walk on and play. If you can't hit the ball straight, take lots of extras.

Sherwood Hills golf course is a nine hole mountainous layout located halfway between Brigham City and Logan on highway 89. This is a nice course to play in the summer; when the valley temperatures are above 90 degrees it will still be in the 70’s or low 80’s up here. We always play this course a few times in the fall when the aspen and scrub maples are in full fall colors. Although not a long course for this elevation (6500 yards from the tips), is does have some challenging holes, particularly holes 8 & 9. The upper holes on this course are closely bordered by trees, so you have fairway and then trees and bushes (no rough). The lower holes (5-7) are more open with mostly sagebrush and open fields. The course sits adjacent to the Sherwood Hills Addiction Center (you will pass by it on your way to the golf course), so you can get in that last round before you go into recovery.
