We had a wonderful visit to Taylor farm last weekend. John, the owner, took us on a fun wagon ride through the property and told us all about the history of the farm. All the crew who worked there were very nice and seemed to really enjoy working at the farm. My favorite part was stopping off at the little cabin half way through the ride and enjoying the fire pit, the cider, and the picnic basket John's sister prepared for us. The animals are healthy and well cared for and there are lots of them. This is a great place to experience for all ages of kids. I highly recommend Taylor Farm for a fun family outing. You won't be disappointed. Next year when we go back, I'll be hoping for a bit more snow so we can do a sleigh ride with John.

Stumbled upon this diamond today. Pull in and make instant friends with the owners, they treat you like family. Super laid back and super cool.
Dylan was a gracious host, his daughter took us for a full farm tour. (buy a candle from her, we bought three they are absolutely beautiful)
We'll be sure to visit again soon, very nice people. Shout out to Sir Jon!

If your idea of a fun afternoon is watching a sassy sow flip a garbage can and rummage through if for food food, flip a lawn chair, scratch her back against a tree and then dig a hole to nap in, well this is your place. She was hilarious to watch. Taylor farm, in the summer, is a quaint VT farm. We visited with our 3 kids and enjoyed the cows, horses, pigs, hens/rosters and ducks. Some roam free. Walk into the property, say hi to the animals and make a small donation or purchase goodies in the shop (cheese, maple syrup, jam and bread.) Wilcox ice cream is available for purchase as well. This is a true farm in all aspects, and a great find.

My fiance surprised me with this start to our romantic weekend away in nearby Manchester (VT) - she hooked us up with a private sleigh ride! The sleigh is hand-built by one of the farm owners. Ziggy and Lynn*, two Percherons, loved the carrots we brought for them. Driver Joel was incredibly friendly. (He has what I consider a very cool personal background, if you're looking for a great chat!) The ride takes you across the front of the field, and then all the way back into the woods. You make a pit stop at the top of a small hill where a fire pit is already lit and awaiting your marshmallow roasting. That's right! This family has thought of everything. At this stop, they also have a small outbuilding with a wood stove in it, so they can provide fresh, warm apple cider. The views of the three nearby skiing mountains are gorgeous. (Joel is also an excellent photographer for folks!) Once you've headed back down to the farmhouse, you MUST pop into the store to grab some farm-made goodies. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

We went on a 4:00 sleigh ride on a bitterly cold afternoon. My granddaughter was under dressed. They did have blankets but we got off the sleigh to toast marshmallows and drink hot cider. The horses had bells and the ride was beautiful. Our driver, Joel (?) was excellent - friendly, good with the kids. He actually let my 6 year old grandson drive the sleigh short distance on our way back. This was memorable.
There are farm animals in a barn, but it was very cold, icy, and spent only a few minutes there.

My husband and I have always wanted to go on a sleigh ride through the beautiful Vermont country side, but this was so much more than we ever could have dreamed of! Everyone at Taylor Farms was so nice! During the sleigh ride, we stopped to have some hot apple cider, and roast marshmallows over a nice warm fire! Our sleigh driver (I think his name was Joel) was so wonderful! There were several children on the ride, and he was so great with the kids ( and us adults too). I highly recommend visiting this farm and going on the sleigh ride!

Taylor Farm is a great stop for kids, plenty of animals and mud. The farm shop has a variety of local products and cheeses not easily found elsewhere.

Great family farm that offers sleigh rides during winter months. Our family of 16 reserved both of their sleighs since we were such a large group, ranging in ages from 2-65. We all enjoyed every minute of this memorable time! A picturesque ride in open area & mountain views in the distance brings you to a wooded area where we enjoyed roasting marshmallows & drinking warmed cider. Great opportunity for family/group pictures & memories to last a lifetime!

By all means - do make time for a sleigh ride! Lots of opportunities for pix and enjoying marshmallows and cider! Simple and relaxing!

Each we our family goes to Vermont for a week during the winter holiday. Taylor Farm has been a part of this memorable experience. We have taken both the horse drawn and tractor pulled sleigh rides usually around 4pm to catch the sunset over the mountains. It is beautifully nostalgic to be pulled across fields into the woods. Our family loves snuggling under the blankets of the sleigh and chatting with fellow passengers. Our favorite part is when we toast marshmallows over the open fire, drink warmed apple cider and catch snowflakes on our tongues (as it always seems to snow when we go). John is an incredible farmer with a passion for his farm. We love the sleigh ride because it reminds us of simpler times and the importance of family connection.

Hello g'day. I would suggest calling in advance to make sure they are available to show you around especially at this time of year. We went during the summer. I do know they are open year round. Hope you enjoy it!
