‪I had a great time visiting and looking at the buddist/monk pray and they had soft music which was peaceful. Hope they add more eventually but it's definitely a beauty to go see.‬

‪Saw this from Joseph M review and went to check it out. It was beautiful with many statues and flowers. Felt so peaceful like in a dream. Would like to return to see the lotus bloom!‬

‪Chua Van Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist temple located near the Bull Run park in Centreville. I stumbled upon this place while looking for Vietnamese cultural places to take my mother in law (for those who follow my reviews-- momma speaks about three words of English). This sanctuary is nestled about 100 feet off of Bull Run Rd.

Pulling into the driveway, you're greeted by a humble house (monk's quarters), a ton of statues and gardens, and a parking lot. Park your vehicle and you're in direct facing of the Chua (temple). The temple grounds are a bit scraggly, but the statues are numerous and very well done. There is a pagoda (Chua Mot Cot) on top of a brigdge that overlooks the Coi pond below. The pond is surrounded with carved lotuses and dragons, and is illuminated at night.

Entering the main temple you are greeted by intricate millwork and several statues. What's more, to the left and right of the main altar are two smaller altars paying tribute to lay people that have passed.

Once you've completed the rounds, feel free to sit at one of the many gazebos around the property and enjoy the birds singing, the squirrels... squirrelling, and the occasional shotgun blast from the range next door.

All in all a wonderful place to stop and visit. It's about a 30 minute drive from Alexandria. Everyone was very welcoming and encouraged us to walk about and enjoy. Donations are suggested, but not required!‬
