Whenever my family comes into town, first thing they ask is "can we go to the escape room!" Since we first went, they always ask to go every time they visit. Im not so good at it, but Im happy whenever I go, makes me happy that I have offspring smarter than I am. Its a good time, if you havent done it before, its something that you should experience.

Our family of four (ages 11-47) had a blast in the 80s throwback room. The gamemaster gave helpful hints when we were truly stuck which set us up for success. It was worth the price for the fun and family bonding that we enjoyed. If you are looking for a way to pass the time indoors this is the place.

We completed the 8-bit room and all enjoyed the theme of the room! They included some "just for fun" games, which added to the experience and nostalgia of old games. Highly recommend.

We had a Great time! Gravediggers Dilemma Room was very well done. We didn’t solve it but came pretty close! The rooms were very well done, even had props for pictures at the end. The ambiance of foyer reminded me of “Clue”.

I’ve been to every room here and loved all of them!! The 80s themed is definitely the most difficult (for me personally) and the pirate and spooky ones are my favorites! All the rooms are so detailed, very atmospheric and a good challenge!

We had the best time! Everyone in our group from age 63 to age 2 had a blast. Very organized activity and our game master, Vee was the best!

My family, ages 13 to 85, recently visited Escape Room Herndon and had an absolute blast with the Maritime Mutiny room. This escape room provided the perfect activity for our multi-generational family group. The puzzles were challenging enough to engage the teens and adults, while not too difficult for the older family members to participate and contribute.
The game flow and clues were very well designed. We had to work together combing the room for hidden clues, deciphering codes, and solving puzzles in order to escape in time. There was a great balance of searching, reading, logic, and hands-on activities so every family member could play a role.
The room theming and props were very immersive, making us feel like we were rebellion leaders mutinying on a ship. The game master provided just the right amount of guidance when we got stuck. We managed to escape with just minutes to spare!
I highly recommend Escape Room Herndon, especially for multi-generational families looking for an exciting bonding experience. The Maritime Mutiny room lets everyone participate in a thrilling race against the clock. We can't wait to return and try more of their creatively-themed rooms!

We had a group of 10 and did the "Maritime Mutiny" room. Everyone had a lot of fun were able to participate somehow in solving the puzzles.

My family escaped the room "8-bit Escape." It was so much fun! The clues and puzzles were ordered and well tought-out. There were many surprises in the room that we weren't expecting. The staff was willing to give us helpful tips when we got stuck and we finished with 4 minutes to spare. Staff was helpful and friendly. The waiting area was comfortable and spacious. We had 5 people in the 6-max room and the price was only $32 per person, very reasonable! Highly-recommend!

I was wondering about The Magicians Workshop, why is it recommended for 10+? I not asking for spoilers just an idea. Thank you!

We recommend 10+ for all our rooms. Under 10 we leave that to the parents to decide if their child would enjoy an escape room. Content wise, it's appropriate for all ages, just tougher than others.

We recommend either Maritime Mutiny (pirates), Last Hope (Space Station), or 8-Bit (80's Video Games). Room 213 would be too creepy. Pick based on which theme you think they would like best.
We don't have any special birthday packages, but can block empty seats in a room (any day but Saturday) if you book at least half of the seats. Then you can purchase any extra tickets you need once you arrive.

Yes, you can play each room with 4 people. It may be more difficult but it's certainly doable. If you partial book a room you may be joined with other people in which case you'd all work together as a team to beat the room.

We went with 4 people. I believe if you look on their website, you can see where there are open slots. They will most likely want to group you in with strangers, but we reserved our time slot about 20 minutes before we actually headed over there, so there were no other people to share our room with us. We also went there around noon, and it was pretty dead at the time. I would NOT want to go in to an escape room with strangers, because I think everyone would get easily annoyed with each other...
