We visited this ship on September 29. Free parking is available next to the Oudinet garden. You have to go through this public garden to get to the entrance. You can buy a ticket to visit the ship, but also a combination ticket to visit the ship and the maritime museum in the city of Ilhavo. The information boards are in Portuguese and English. There are some steep steps in the nave. It gives you a good idea of how those sailors lived and worked to catch cod.

Recomendo a visita ao Navio Museo Santo André, um excelente exemplar de um navio da pesca de bacalhau transformado em Museu, onde se pode ver como era a vida dos homens que no Mar do Norte pescaram. Polo do Museu Marítimo de Ílhavo.

Es complemento de la visita al museo marítimo de Ilhavo. Esta un poco abandonado pero recuerda los meses de mar de los marineros que padaban6 meses en la pesca del bacalao.

Navio bacallhoeiro bem conservado, que fez parte da frota portuguesa na Terra Nova e Gronelândia. Este navio-museu proporciona interessantes visitas guiadas mostrando como se vivia no seu interior e explicar como era a pesca do arrasto do bacalhau.

The boat is part of the awesome Maritime Museum in Ilhavo but at a different location. Well worth the visit as you get unrestricted ability to walk all over this former North Sea cid fishing boat. You can see how crew lived and how fish were processed at sea. Very rate opportunity to see a boat like this. Its aboutv10 min in a taxi from centre of Aveiro or close to the Costa Nova bus route.

Um museu espetacular que ilustra com o barco vivo do que era a pesca do bacalhau.
Podia ter mais informação, mas ainda assim está muito bem conseguido.

We took the Costa Nova bus from Aviero and the driver dropped us off about 200 metres from the boat.
Paid the seniors rate of 2 Euros and was given an info guide in English.You are free to wander about and see how the crew of 60 lived and worked as they journeyed to the cod grounds of the North Atlantic.The boat was in service from 1948 and well done to Aviero for maintaining it as a museum.
Many pictures on display near the booth of the crew at work.

A visita a um navio bacalhoeiro permite ao visitante ter uma noção, ainda que muito distante, da dificuldade da faina do bacalhau. Educativo e histórico. A visitar na ida a Aveiro

Excelente sugestão para um passeio de fim-de-semana em Ílhavo. Navio muito bem conservado e onde podemos conhecer de perto a “vida no mar”

Siempre que estuvimos en la zona, dejábamos la visita a este buque por aprovechar el sol, en esta ocasión una mañana de lluvia nos acercamos y fue maravilloso. Aconsejo sacrificar una horina de sol a quienes vayáis en otra época, para visitarlo. Se puede ver una vida completa en el barco, desde la labor bacaladera hasta todo tipo de habitaciones por rango profesional, cocina, mandos, sala de radio... es muy bonito para quien guste de este tipo de museos.
