The site is spectacular, the only thing and warning to drivers, is that there is (somewhere will be) some sign that does not allow to travel according to which vehicles....and the agent n:1064 walked very fast and collected to sanction me with 200€.

We went to eat at the restaurant of Cap de Creus and fantastic, however, now we get a fine from the deputation for accessing said restaurant..., a shame, they hinder the activity of a restaurant fining its customers, very careful with the notices in little roadside, are a means of extracting fines. More and more limited public areas, charging again for something you have already paid with your taxes, both traffic and general.

Incomparable landscape that surpasses the capes of the French part, especially when looking north. Rocks varied, incredibly jagged and layered. Take a shuttle bus (many but expensive: 5 euros round trip), although many cars still access it (as many foreigners as Spaniards for the rest), which is an aberration. Departure from Corral d'en Morell car park. Or walk along the way (5 or 6 km one way) from the same parking lot. From the lighthouse, 3 walking routes (very rocky) are proposed, from 1.3 to 3 km.

Beautiful rocky landscapes unique in the world and incredible cuts.
Do not drive there in high season. Cameras detect your registrations and the fine is 250 euros. This is very good indeed.

To reach the Cap de Creus there is only a shuttle bus service from a slow car park with a long rude delay and no terrible air conditioning at 20 departed to arrive at 20.15 and we were crammed without air half an hour
The unhelpful driver carried us like sheep
I recommend going early if you want to get to see the sunset

Beautiful landscape, it is recommended to get permission from the city council to enter but fine of 200€. An alternative is to book in the rest cap de creus through website and avoid the fine if you did not get permission. Beautiful views. By car is near Cadaqués. Highly recommended. There are treking circuits. You can access it collectively. Place of imposing nature

There is no point further east on the Spanish mainland than Cap de Creus.
The route to the cape winds its way along a narrow two-lane road through the beautiful countryside. The closer you get to the Mediterranean, the more beautiful the views become.
Cap de Creus is a beautiful end point of the route, but there is nothing here except the lighthouse and a small restaurant.
The park, created in 1998, extends over eight municipalities, namely Llançà, Vilajuïga, Pau, Palau Saverdera, Roses, Cadaqués, Port de la Selva and Selva de Mar. In total, it covers an area of 13,886 hectares, of which 10,386 hectares are land area and the remaining 3,090 hectares are protected marine area. The views from the protected area with its fauna are worth a visit and are remarkable in many ways. Here the last foothills of the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean, and the peninsula is accordingly mountainous, with its highest point 670m above sea level. The landscape is shaped by erosion and the strong Tramuntana winds typical of the region. The dry air brought by the strong winds increases the salinity of the plants and the soil. Against this background, it is not surprising that a very special vegetation with numerous rare endemic species has developed here.
Cap Creus is characterized by some bizarre-looking rock formations that are extremely interesting from a geological perspective. The spectacular outcrops of the rock, which were created millions of years ago by pressure and heat, are among the most impressive landscape elements of the nature park. In the maritime area of the nature park, corals and a diverse range of marine fauna find a habitat under the protection of the small islands and bizarrely shaped cliffs.
The vegetation of Cap de Creus is characterized by special climatic conditions. Large parts of the cape were once used as vineyards, the terraces of which were held up by dry stone walls. Other parts were used as pastureland and there were frequent fires that left their mark on the landscape.
Over 800 plant species can be found here, including sea pink (Armeria ruscinonencis), sea lavender (Limonium tremolsii) and saxifrage (Seseli farrenyi), which only grows here in the world. But more common species such as rosemary and St. John's wort also have a permanent place in the flora of Cap de Creus.
Due to the special environmental conditions, trees are only found in selected parts of the nature park. The most common species include Aleppo pine, cork oak and holm oak, which are typical representatives of Mediterranean vegetation. However, elms, ash trees, alders and poplars also grow here occasionally. Most of the peninsula is covered with bushy vegetation, the most common of which are mastic, thorny broom and juniper. There is also interesting vegetation on the seabed, including Posidonia oceanica and Cymodocea nodosa.
Every summer season from 1 June to 30 September, access restrictions with calendars, timetables and information, as well as details of the shuttle to the Cap de Creus Integral Nature Reserve, can be viewed in the ACCESS OPTIONS section of the Cap de Creus National Park website.

The Cap de Creus National Park - at the easternmost end of Spain, beautifully situated on the Mediterranean, is definitely worth a visit at any time of year. The most authentic and environmentally friendly way to do this is to go on long hikes through this wonderful landscape (...from Roses, Cadaques, El Port de la Selva or even from Portlligat - Salvador Dali's wonderful home town); alternatives to long hikes, however, are also - for less energetic and/or ambitious hikers - the powerful Tren Roses Expres (...on numerous land paths within the nature park) and - on the sea side - some tourist boats (e.g. from Roses :), such as the Els Blaus, Don Pancho and (catamaran) Magic fleet. - In May/June in particular, countless plants (some endemic) bloom in the bizarre landscape of the cape and the scent of lavender fills the air in some places in the wonderful nature park.

ATTENTION: to reach the lighthouse by car or motorbike you need to have a reservation at the lighthouse restaurant costing 20 euros (but it seems they have become 50), otherwise you risk a fine of 200 euros. The lighthouse can be reached by bus, leaving the car in the car park. Tickets can be purchased at the info point in the car park.

I am visiting at the end of December. Is the Park open and is it safe for hiking in the winter?
كُتب بتاريخ 4 أكتوبر 2016
Hi the whole area is open access and I should think the weather in Spain in December would still be okay for you to enjoy the walk.
