Lovely trip , friendly crew , but service is being withdrawn at the end of March 2024 due to local council subsidy being cut.

We crossed from Gravesend to Tilbury on the ferry yesterday as part of a guided tour. The tour was a free turn up event and I think we ended up being a far bigger group than anticipated. It took 3 trips to get us all across but was handled incredibly well by the ferry operators. They were friendly and polite and very helpful. I believe there was some complaints from a small number of our goup that they weren't getting us across quickly enough but there is a limit to how many people can safely be ferried across at one time. I would like to say the crew worked safely and efficiently at all times and deserve a heartfelt thank you for their hard work. They provide the people of Gravesend and Tilbury with a much needed (and appreciated) service.

It was a good trip to be in a ferry my first time if you live in gravessend that’s fine if you live in tilbury that is fine no matter where you live you can go there

This is a nice way to cross the Thames from Tilbury to Gravesend, very cheap at
£4 pound return. Quick trip the ferry runs every half an hour the guys are very polite & friendly

I was on a cycling adventure and missed the ferry terminal which meant I got to the jetty just as the ferry had departed. This meant I had a 30 minute wait for the next one; frustrating but totally my own fault. However the crew shouted to me “don’t worry we’re coming back for you” and five minutes later I was on board and on my way to Tilbury. Absolutely brilliant crew and fantastic service; I was so grateful to them! Stuff like that hardly ever happens any more. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you!!!

Cheap and quick way to cross from Gravesend to Tilbury, I just went to take my 4 year old for a day out and the water was choppy which my son cried at when the boat was moving from side to side but no one moaned and the instructor told my son what a brave boy he is.

Friendly staff, on time and a pleasant trip across the Thames. The ferry leaves every half hour from Gravesend and Tilbury. If you join the ferry in Tilbury, there are some car parking spaces on the jetty - very busy at times. If there is no space on the jetty then there is a cruise/ferry paid for car park not far away. If you have a bus pass, the ferry is free after 0930 hours.

Great day out on the cheap. Come early on the Tilbury side as car park which is free gets full quickly. Cheap ride over on ferry. There is no beach as such in Gravesend but find the park which has a playback, lake and cafe. A walk into the highstreet although alittle run down the heritage quarter is nice to walk down

Arriving at gravend ferry automatic doors open to walk towards the ferry walking down to meet the ferry ,there is a shelter which seats two people at moment while coranavirus is around.pleasent view with some boats and wind turbines dotted round.when ferry arrives theMetal gang plank Is dropped so passenger Walk on with ease and pay by contactless card and seating is well spread out ,the journey is around 10 minutes always a pleasant experience,would recommend to anyone who wishes to go to tilbury .

wouldn't think so, but there is a plan for another bridge or tunnel east of the Dartford Crossing which was out for consultation not long ago

I think it is about £3 unless you are a holder of a Kent or Essex bus pass - then it is free! Also to answer another question, the fare is paid by cash only.
