After several years of avoiding it due to access issues associated with the demolition of half the stadium, we went again on Saturday 24th September 2022. It was rammed so we were stuck outside in the cold. Don't know the reasons behind the demolition of half the stadium but it hasn't made the visitor experience any better as the choice is reduced and the experience of queues etc are worse as a consequence. NOTE: There is a raised/sloped tarmac ridge on the exterior of the track near the picnic tables which at night is unlit and caused trips for those passing which is dangerous.

Good Menu, nice quality food, Interesting surroundings. Table service for bets and drinks. Nice staff. A great night out.

Food was not very good, crouton was greasy, apple pie was ice cold in middle and hot on the outside. Runners machine kept breaking so had to get up and place bets ourselves.

Booked a night at the dogs in the Paddock restaurant with family and friends. I went with my husband a couple of months ago and had a great night. We’ve always been pleased with the quality of the food but last time it took forever to get our main course. We took this as a one off. Unfortunately the same thing happened again! It took well over an hour between our starters and main course! Far too long to have to wait! It shouldn’t matter that it was busy - it’s always busy - they should be able to cope - or book fewer tables.
We still had a good night as the atmosphere is good and the company was great. The waiting staff tried their best but something needs looking at!

Travled to Romford to meet up with friend and family reunion, and decided to try the 'dogs' as a last minute night out. Got everything needed with drink and food, great atmosphere and fun betting if you lose. Would highly recommend

The paddock resturant was awful. £35 per head. The food was cold and not worth the money at all. It was drafty in the resturant and like a motorway cafe ! Totally will not visit again. Very disappointed !!

I took a party of 54 on Friday 28th January 2022. 14 had the party pack and 40 were in the Paddock Restaurant. What a night everyone had a great night and not one complaint. I was in the Paddock restaurant and was most pleasantly surprised with the food and service. The menu was a mixture of steaks, chicken, curry, and fish The steaks were large and succulent and cooked as you like. The service although a bit slow was excellent and lets face it we had all night. Wine list was good and reasonable priced.
All in All a good night out and we will be back soon for more.

6 of us friends came here on saturday and its so much better now covid restictions have lifted.Really busy and a great atmosphere and so nice to see the old school bookies outside again

Great night out. Reasonably priced food from kiosks. (Restaurant also available pre booked) Great fun. Arrive early for decent seats. Saturday always seems to be busier than Friday. Friendly staff. Can’t praise this place enough

A Question for the staff please. My family and friends in the past always use to visit the venue and book a table in The Chase, great food and atmosphere. I have read a comment about the Chase no longer exists and the only eatery to sit down is the Pavilion . Is this the case? Many thanks. Mick

Hi this is an ex customer! Yes its correct chase is being rebuild should be ready next year, only place now to eat is the pavillion which is the conservatory on the right and to be honest, I think it is very overpriced for very average food! Good luck

Yep. You can take pushchairs in. But you may want to call the stadium beforehand as it is going through some building work and that may change their admittance rules?

Normally come about 28 of us from complex on a Thursday lunch ormally in the chase told now it’s in the pavilion are things still the same menu and are there any stairs to climb from coach to pavilion is it all on one level ty

Can someone help please. I notice above comment about The Chase is no longer and the only place to seat and eat is The Pavilion. Was this as a result of refurbishment or is it for good. My family and friends have been many times before and ALWAYS a good time and food in the Chase.

Times and arrangements are up in the air even for the locals,but like others have said web site good ive always found when ive phoned to get get answeres..though cant promise you when office is open. Usually children are more than welcome but with the building i have no idea if theynhave restrictions at the moment..
My best advice is as everyone elses web site or phone...hope you get your info
