No se podría decir que es una playa, pero sí un paseo de mar, costanera o malecón muy lindo. Tiene hermosos mosaicos y lindas vistas. Hay varias opciones de tomar buenas fotos. El único problema es que a veces está sucio. Si estuviera limpio sería perfecto.

Jacmel right now is devoid of any character. If you wanna see people going through some unfortunate times then go for a visit. Otherwise, it really was uninviting even during what could have been a busy holiday season. Haiti is going through a terrible time. I feel sorry for them, and hope the situation improves very soon.

Not a place for swimming. But a lovely walk and view the harbour. Nice to take the sea breezes in. Especially after having a shop in the various art galleries that abound.

...but it's a really pleasant place to wander or sit on a bench staring wistfully out to sea. the architecture is very tasteful and the grounds are kept clean.

I spent one week in Haiti, specifically Jacmel, and decided to stay at the Hotel Florita in town, rather than at one of the beach hotels. Loved this quirky hotel with nice staff. They were helpful and kind, and the hotel is one of a kind. In need of some love but fascinating. The town of Jacmel and its beach is not pretty so much as interesting, with an artsy vibe, colorful boardwalk and lots of folk art. Did not originally plan on visiting Jacmel but it turned out to be a good decision.

The Beaches are ok, Raymond les Bain is the better one, they have a lot of gravels which I am not a fan of.

Beautiful picturesque beach. Ate at a nearby restaurant our guide was familiar with. I was able to get some good drone footage of the beach.

This is not a beach to swim, it is a beautiful mosaic boardwalk along the downtown Jacmel with a view on the ocean. Was pretty clean when I was there, with a playground area for children, art vendors, great food, drinks and great ambiance day and night. Beaches to swin are 20 miutes away at Fonds Raymond Beach, clean when no rain storms, great food and beach ambiance, music, arts, etc.

I was so excited to be staying so close to the beach but unfortunately you cannot swim here due to the trash issues. You must travel to a nicer beach (usually at a resort) if you want to swim or snorkel. The boardwalk is nice but there are many people trying to sell you things. They are not rude, but it is hard to take a quiet walk. We did buy some beautiful art from a street vendor. I wouldn't really call this place a beach, it is more of a boardwalk with an ocean view. If you like sea glass there is a ton of it among the rocks, you just have to be willing to walk through the trash. The sunset views were amazing.

I would recommend taxi service either provided by hotel or professional driver service. Local buses are crowded but most affordable option.

Hello, my fellow travelers! I am searching for a CHEAP way to travel from Port-au-Prince to Jacmel on Dec. 21, returning to PAP on 24 December in time to catch a flight to Cap Haitien. Looks like tap taps are going to be the only way to get down there and back. By chance, is anyone renting a car and doing the 3-hour drive there and back? I'm happy to share costs for petrol, etc. Please message me back if you're going to Jacmel. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi! There are vans that make that trip. . . definitely a step up from a taptap. They are relatively comfortable and very inexpensive. One company is La Source. Phone numbers for them: 4300-9525; 4302-6363;4638-3027. Bon vwayaj.
