My husband and I visited Yering Station and tried the wine tasting at the Cellar Door. Not only the staff failed to properly introduce any wine, but she also commented that "I obviously have a very underdeveloped wine-tasting palate" with a look of disdain. Please avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be humiliated.

Celebrated my birthday here and had the most perfect day. Arrived at the grounds and walked through the green archway from the carpark into a beautifully serene garden with the sound of birds in the background. Magic!
Loved the blend of modern and heritage materials in the architecture, the wisteria, water and other garden features on site.
We arrived a little early and headed into the cellar doors to taste 5 gorgeous reds recommended by the sommelier. The staff were incredibly professional and knowledgeable in their wines - we ended up buying several bottles to cellar and drink on special occasions.
This was followed up by a 2 course lunch in the restaurant which had stunning panoramic views of the valley below.
We never told anyone we were there for my birthday but the staff were so friendly and really went the extra mile - it really made my day.
I've been to a number of wineries before but Yering Station is now number 1 for me. Would highly recommend for groups of all sizes and the terrace and surrounds would make an incredible backdrop for a wedding.
An experience you must try when in Victoria.

The winery is just a few minutes out of Yarra Glen on your way to Melbourne. Plenty of parking and just a short walk to the cellar door. The staff were excellent considering it was a weekend. The wines on offer were excellent so we chose a nice rose. Thank you most enjoyable, not one of your big expansive places with a nice courtyard outside.

One of the most picturesque wineries in the Yarra valley. Great spot for the kids to run around. Lovely views of surrounding countryside. The wines are delicious as well

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here while travelling through the Yarra Valley. The food was fresh and nicely cooked and the views were stunning.

The cuisine needs a lot of improvement. It is tasteless/bland and arrived cold. It really looked like they were ticking the boxes by slapping it all on a plate with not much care. Quality was not there for the expected experience offered by the environment.

Improve the cuisine. The food was rather bland and cold. The look and taste of their dishes led me to believe that the par-ready food had been slapped together on a dish to send out without care and in bulk to accommodate the number of people attending. This is not a criticism on the quantity on the plate but the lack of taste. Even the dishes themselves were not cohesive.

I have visited Yerring Station several times. This is probably my last. The wine tasting is a business transaction rather than an experience. The wines on offer at cellar door are very underwhelming. The food at the restaurant was good but again not great. Staff, however, are excellent. Such a shame.

Booked celebration lunch for 4 at Yering Station as 'thought' by the location.menu pricing that we would get great food and great service!
Unfortunately ,and we are not people to be negative, the experience was very much lack luster.The only fact was the very high price paid for an expected high end service and food experience which simply didn't happen!.
Firstly the drink orders..After placing order we waited 16minutes before receiving same ...Our glasses remained empty for another 20 minutes and after much hand waving to waitresses we managed to place another order ,which yes ,you guessed it too another 20 minutes to get delivered to us!!...
The Meals- Would seem to be already pre- made up and ready to be micro wave blasted or oven blasted to order and not 'freshly' cooked to order...The Scallops possibly were imported frozen roe-off and not fresh vic scallops as expected ?..Clearly COVID cannot be the excuse for staff shortage ..or if that's the case and service suffers ,,be upfront and DROP your prices on food and wine to reflect that!!
