‪We didn't go in but it left me breathless to see this piece of history with the knowledge that several presidents also walked this path.‬

‪It was amazing! There wasn’t anyone here when we came which was actually perfect because we felt like we had the place to ourselves. My sister and I ordered a bento box and were filled up by the end. And the food was delicious. My other sister got only egg rolls and my dad got teriyaki chicken-and they loved it.
The man who served us was very polite, helpful, and really quick to bring our food. Overall it was a great experience with delicious food. Highly recommend, and looking forward to coming back soon!‬

‪My daughter and I attended a Saturday organ concert in Wren Chapel, which is on the "back" of the Wren Building (from the Colonial Williamsburg side). We found out about it from the events guide of Colonial Williamsburg. It was about a 1/2 hour concert on the organ from 1740s. It was a beautiful concert in the beautiful Wren Chapel. Wish we would have had more time to look at the building, I guess we will when we go back.‬

‪Dating to 1695, it is the oldest academic building in continuous use in the United States. Located across the street from Market Square at the end of Duke of Gloucester street, the Wren building is the cornerstone the College of William and Mary. Boasting names like Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, John Marshal, and John Tyler as graduates of William and Mary, and thus attending the Wren Building, you are walking in the footsteps of the past. Every year at least one (and usually more) classes are held here to make sure it continues to be the oldest active college building. Be sure to visit the classroom, but also the Wren Chapel. This is history alive, my 9 and 11 year old grandchildren were impressed (and, that's not easy), but partially because they had a link to the place, as I had taken a class there in 1970, while stationed at Ft. Lee. Do go see this wonderful building, you will not be disappointed.‬

‪This was the original building of the College of William and Mary and there are some exhibits open to the public. The exhibits show how the building was impacted by what was happening around it, most notable the Revolution. It is still used for religious services and classes to this day over 300 years later.‬

‪Don't miss this building on the campus of William and Mary. Make sure to go in as many room as you can that are available. It is well worth the very short walk from Colonial Williamsburg to see where some of our founding fathers studied, etc.‬

‪We were able to attend a Saturday morning pipe organ concert. The organist explained the workings of the organ and how this one differs from the pipe organs of today. This one had no feet pedals.‬

‪Every time I’m in Williamsburg, I have to visit William and Mary and stop by the Wren Building. Beautiful campus and full of history. Alma mater to many founding fathers and presidents.‬

‪Attended a 30 min free organ recital on Saturday morning. The gentleman gave the history of the organ as well as playing pieces that illustrated different aspects of the organ. ‬

‪This building is part of the College of William and Mary and I would say the crown jewel of a most beautiful college campus. It's named after the famous British architect Sir Christopher Wren and supposedly it was he who drew up the original plans for the building. The Wren building has the distinction of being the oldest continuously used academic building in the United States. Take the time to walk around the building to appreciate its different angles, it's an impressive building indeed. It was nice to see some of the other areas of campus as well, there's a sunken lawn behind the Wren building that was sight to see too!
If you're visiting Colonial Williamsburg walk towards the Merchant's Square end of the Duke of Gloucester Street and you'll see the Wren building right across the street where the college campus begins.
Definitely worth a visit to appreciate its' history and architecture, and a great photo op too! ‬
