The price of $10 for an ear of corn is very telling. There is nothing at this fair which hasn't been overpriced. $6 cups of pop. $10 for small cups of frozen yogurt whipped with pineapple. $20 for a turkey leg.
Don't bring your family, unless you have already eaten and you only plan to stay for a short time. I brought my wife, two boys, and sister-in-law, and the day was nearly $1000. after admission fees, parking, food, and amusements.

It's the fair - it's expensive, the food is gut destroying, the rusty old rides feel like they are going to crash down at any moment, and no matter how many times I play ring toss I always lose - it's the fair.
Ate WAY more than any normal human being should have, I will regret this tomorrow but probably will have fond memories by Thursday.
It's a fun place! Go enjoy yourselves!

The Washington State Fair is the largest fair in the PNW area. It excels at having a pretty expansive midway (including a permanent wooden coaster) and a large collection of exhibits. What it could improve at is having better free live entertainment and more unique food vendors. I didn't really see the traditional wild fair food that you will see at other fairs. The food focuses on scones, corndogs, and large burgers it seems. This is the state fair to go to if you live in WA, OR, and ID, but could definitely has room to improve what they offer.

the weather was fantastic I am from Florida. the staff were very pleasant the free shows such as the juggler was ery good the music and other free events were outstanding. I was horrified how expensive and how horrible the food was. first I bought two hamburgers with onions yuck. then later I bought a big hot dog yuck yuck. I ate the horrible hot dog threw the rest in the trash $5 charge for water? really? $so.e places $9 for a lemonade. it was fun and I enjoyed the rodeo and concert with Josh I would suggest for people to pack a sandwich and a couple of cold drinks.

Biggest waste of money ever. Food vendor hall is disorganized without any sign of supervision. Lack of diversity in food vendors. Mostly unimaginative typical fair offerings - elephant ears, corn dogs etc. If you are ever have a chance go to the MN state fair it will show you how to organize a great state fair.

The number of vendors are down and the prices are way up! Apparently they are trying to make up for the lack of a fair last year. Parking cost more then the ticket to get in. The food/drink offered by the vendors was lackluster at best. Very little variety, the food at 6 of the vendors I personally went to was horrible. They are charging an outrageous price and getting smaller portions. It's sad when you are there and you are limited on places to eat quality food and drinks. This is the fair I have been going to since the late 1960's and have enjoyed but since the early 2000's, the quality has gone down hill and the prices have gone up. You no longer get an enjoyable time but you do get help removing funds from your account.

Awful food and so BORING! What happened? Fair food used to be good. It was awful. Couldn’t eat the krusty pup then tried to eat a gyro - cold, old, didn’t taste right and just awful. Nothing fun going on. The music in the beer garden was so Boeing’s it cost too much and had awful vendors. Wtf. Last time we go there!

I have attended the WA State Fair for 8 years now. I love it!! Everything from the animals, rides, special exhibits, even the fun aggressive sales people at the multiplex, and obviously the junk food....but this year was a different experience thanks to the Coronavirus. I like the idea of having a drive thru fair food traffic parade and supporting the WA State Fair, but since the prices on the food is higher than usual, I my dollar is going to be at price expectations or higher. This wasn't the case this time. I ordered from Murph's BBQ pulled pork over rice. We all know what that looks like....instead I got stir-fry with very little pieces of pork, not pulled. I opened my rectangle styrofoam box and the "bbq sauce" in the cup wasn't BBQ. It was a mild red sauce that was less than half full cause the sauce was already spilled in the box. The presentation was poor and not what I was hoping for. The corn on the cob was really good tho! The strawberry lemonade is actually just Minute Made- don't expect fresh chucks of strawberries like I did. For 2 "pulled" pork over rice that's more like a scratch stir-fry, a good ear of corn with parm, a regular strawberry lemonade with no strawberries, your total is $36. Oh and expect to run into Trump supporters. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Have fun!

The fair was great! Lots of attractions for all ages. All kinds of foods and rides for the kids or the young at heart, but many attractions for everyone. I am myself disabled, so I appreciated that there were lots of benches where you could sit and rest. The concert was an outdoor venue, but the weather cooperated and the concert was fantastic.

I'm uncertain of whether or not you can (beyond service animals), BUT I highly recommend that you don't. There are way too many people, kids, distractions, food, etc, to make it an easy time for a dog; AND there are no real places for a potty break. Many inside buildings and pavement outside. Suggestion, find a park, not the Fair. You'll both have more fun.
Why is the fair closed on Tuesday, in the past it was open for the full week.

Because they have added more days to the Fair they close on Tuesdays I am assuming for clean up and staff scheduling.

Fair admission is included with the concert tickets. There are accommodations nearby. you can look in Puyallup and Sumner
