We stopped here after touring Cedarburg for refreshments. Just follow the stairs going down from the bridge and you’re transported to a babbling brook side bar. There is inside and outside seating.

Not sure what to expect in this old mill, but to our surprise it was like a pet store on the inside with all the pet foods and bird seed choices you can imagine. Interesting to look up and down the aisle to see what they sell.

The mill is a beautiful old repurposed old building. Landmark Feed mill is a local owned place that has everything from bird food to dog food to hay and deer food. They have all kinds of seeds too. Just a nice place to shop. If you have a pet they are pet friendly so bring them along.

I grew up in the Milwaukee area. Went for a visit to Wisconsin and took my daughter here. She also loved it, as I did growing up.

I've been visiting this site for many years which sports a collection of shops: an exquisite place to browse. There is a quaint restaurant in the back for sandwiches and sodas. Robin's Nest has jewelry and collectibles. Another shop has old-time candy and toys catering to the nostalgic crowd. Highlight of a visit to Cedarburg: my favorite town in all of WI.

Cedarburg, Wisconsin, has a long and vivd history dating to the early 1840s that is lovingly preserved in its limestone buildings, meandering creek and more than 200 buildings of historical significance. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction with many restaurants, trendy shops and boutiques, artist studios, antique stores and art galleries. The focal point and most well-known historic building is the Cedarburg Grist Mill. Located in the center of town, it was built in 1864 and was the only woolen mill west of Philadelphia to produced worsted yarns. Today, the mill continues to thrive as the cornerstone of the Cedar Creek Settlement and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. By 1893, it was the largest woolen mill west of Philadelphia. It was closed in 1968 and sat vacant for several years. When a prospective owner intended to tear it down to build a gas station and a mini-mart, citizens intervened, bought the mill and surrounding buildings, opened a restaurant and a winery, created the Cedar Creek Settlement and Cedarburg's tourism boom began. The Cedarburg Woolen Mill, which later became the Wittenberg Woolen Mill, is a five-story structure that originally cost $30,000. Executives and supervisors were paid $3 for a 12-hour day. In 1893, there were 12 buildings. The mill employed over 100 men and women at its prime. The original mill building was the north half of the present mill building.

The Cedarburg Mill is a historic place on the north end of the Cedarburg business section. It houses an eclectic group of shops including art, boutique gifts, jewelry, and a winery with a tasting room. It is fun to explore the many artisan shops and prices are generally reasonable. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We were bored the Friday after Thanksgiving and all of the family was together, so we drove to Cedarburg and explored the downtown area. I was amazed at the variety of shops... we even bought some non-toxic, made in America toys for our hippie friends. We got food, did some cocktails, and overall had a great afternoon. Much better than driving around huge parking lots and box stores where you end up exhausted and crabby after an afternoon of shopping. We also ended up getting most of our gifts and they're definitely unique and have a story. There are still a few I'll probably run to Kohls or Target to get next weekend but overall it was cool to meet some of the actual businesspeople who run these shops.

The picture for this is Landmark Feed, Seed & Supply (not the mill), so I'll review that...During the winter I buy all of my seed and suet for the birds. They have a great selection for every species imaginable. They also sell food and toys for pets, bird feeders, bat houses, mineral blocks for deer hunters, and much more. They even sell some terrific beef jerky for humans. Do not confuse that with the rawhide chew treats for dogs! Haha!

The Cedarburg Mill houses Landmark Feed and Supply, which has just about any, if not all, kind of supplies for different animals. It's my go to place for wild bird seed and some kitty supplies. On the flip side (riverside) of the building you can find Silver Creek Brewery, which is a nice place to stop for a drink while enjoying either the unique interior, or weather permitting, sit outside and enjoy the creek! In addition to the businesses housed there, the building itself adds to that Cedarburg historical charm and is a good picture taking opportunity. There is the bridge next to it, the Cedar Creek running behind it, and Cedar Creek Park just to the south of it.
