What a wonderful playground! We stopped here on a road trip for our kids (2 and 4) to let off some steam before heading to the hotel. A clean, fun and unique space to play with a well-considered layout. Other parkgoers were friendly and respectful. Lots of trees and green space too.

This was a perfect stop to stretch our family's legs during a long road trip. This park is conveniently located just off of the expressway and offers lots of green space and play structures for the little ones to burn off energy. The rubber surface was nice for added padding, but held the heat more so than a woodchip would (It was in the 90's when we visited). Overall, a great stop and would suggest it for anymore in the area, or just passing through like we were.

Park in sections by age, and even have handicap swing. A wonderful child adult combination swing so child and parent face each other. Great afternoon play and shade availble.

My 5 year old affectionately refers to this place as the big wooden park. Absolutely loves this place.

Love this park and playground!! I really like that it has sections for the different age groups. And it even has a swing for a wheelchair and for sensory kids. All the kids can play and enjoy this park!

Nice place for young children and families!! Nice splash pad! Very nice playground. With handicap accessible!! Large picnic area!! You can rent areas for family parties!

I was getting my 2 grandchildren for the weekend and this was 1/2 between us so we used it as a hand-off site where they could burn off engery before getting back in the car. It was great. The kids had plenty to do, they are 4 years old and 18 months. There are things they could do together and apart. This park is very inclusive, everyone can come. They had mommy and me swings, and area for the under 5 crowd and separate for the 5-12. We where here for almost 2 hours and the kids did not once complain they were bored.

Park, warden pool, picnic area with bath house and covered picnic area. In Summer month has a snack counter to purchase ice cream or snacks. Picnic areas with park swings,slides, zip line for all childrenen and handicap children

An awesome open inclusive playground for middle school and under kids. Lots of action, slides, swings and play areas.

This Park had everything, they just read did the entire park they have everything from little young ones to older teenagers. Awesome soft ground lots of stuff for the kids to do. I can take my kids here for hours as I focus on school work and drink coffee. I suggest this to anyone.

excellent park for kids
this is the great thing about Janesville with kids. The wading pool is free to bring your little kids to. The playground is large and very fun. The park is huge and offers large areas to play and roam as well as trails. great way to spend a day with the kids."

I live in Janesville and know the playground has two different areas; a tot lot, which has the equipment for younger children, and an area for older kids. The swings in that area are higher, the bars are definitely higher, there's even a floating seesaw for older kids as well as a zipline, among many other pieces of equipment for older kids. The slides are higher and accomodate older kids easily. I've not only seen them playing there with no problem, but have taken kids those ages there, and there's never a complaint. Are you sure you're speaking of CAMDEN playground?

I know the playground was put near the wading pool on purpose, so that children with special needs, like Camden, who may become overheated, would have a place to cool off. Change isn't always bad, either. ;)

Yes, there are grills, and yes, people can reserve them, but usually during the week there are ones available. Week-ends are the busy times when it would be best to bring your own. The location may be a factor also.
