this is the worst motorcycle museum I have been to. unfortunately I have had to waste my money when biker friends come into town from out of state. take the time and head to the best motorcycle museum the national motorcycle museum in Anamosa Iowa. this by far out classes HD waste of money museum

Really nice museum. Well layed out. Learn about the history of Harley Davidson.
Great displays. Sat on two bikes, would have liked to sit on more.
Expensive gift shop.
Free street parking.
Great place to visit when the weather is not so great.

The restaurant was painfully slow and not 1/2 full. Food was very avg at best with above avg prices. I’d eat before you go to the museum. The museum was very tame from what I’d expect from a company that has been making history for well over 100 years. A lot of neat old bikes but that’s about all there is - it just doesn’t feel like Harley really put the heart into building this thing. Neat to see but a bit of a let down. I’d still recommend going - where else can you see all these historic bikes in one building.

Das Harley Davidson Museum muss man gesehen haben auch, wenn man kein super Harley Fan ist. Sehr viele historische Objekte.

Not a motorcycle enthusiast? No problem - this museum is worth the visit nonetheless. Plenty of interactive exhibits and information about the history of the company and motorcycles in general.

I wasn't sure about this place since I don't ride motorcycles but it's an interesting museum. A lot of history of the business and of motorcycles.

This is an epic American business success story. Interesting for motorcycle enthusiasts as well as everyone interested in the birth of the motorcycle industry in America. The tour is about $20 and you can do it in 60-90 minutes. Nice casual restaurant next door.

Wow, what an interesting place this is! This isn't just a showcase of Harley-Davidson's history of motorcycle production. It is a showcase of American history. Information on the company's startup, how they created a community of dealerships & service providers, the actual motorcycle construction (engines, gas tanks, all variety of parts, & custom modifications), & how different bikes were used are ALL included in this really cool museum. There is also a section on the wide variety of riders. This place is a must do, even if you don't ride. It is such an interesting commentary on American business throughout the changing American economic spectrum, not just a collection of bikes. Oh, but BOY is there a collection of bikes. A few of the exhibits are interactive. For example, you can turn a wheel to simulate engine noise at different RPMs, or you can feel for yourself how balance changes as a bike is in motion. The funnest, silliest part is that you can perch yourself on a variety of firmly mounted bikes for your very own photo op. We learned so much about so many things! The bar/restaurant on property is also worth a visit. Such a very cool place.

For a fee, you can set a tour time and date ahead of your trip. A guide will take you around the museum and explain various displays and the concepts behind them. It is a more in depth view of the significance of displays as opposed to walking around aimlessly viewing static displays. You also have a guide to answer specific questions about various engines, designs, and historical events regarding Harley Davidson Corporation. We received a special museum pin and scarf as a part of our tour. You also stand in the bike archives for part of the tour as opposed to standing and looking through the bars at it. There were 12 of us in this particular group and we paid $20 per person. You’d have to check as it might mean $240,per tour group or they might arrange to place you in a tour group. We were a HOG group traveling together and I didn’t arrange this portion of the trip sovone would have to call the Museum to find out further information. Hope this clarifies for you. Bonnie in Ohuo

I believe so. Went there early Sunday and parking lot was empty.
They have marked places for motorcycles, close to museum entrance, but all the other parking is nearby, like 2-3min walk to main entrance.

How long does it take to go through the Museum?

That depends on how much you are in to the history of Harley Davidson motorcycles. You could get through it in an hour if pressed for time, but you could easily spend 2, 3 or 4 hours, there are interactive elements and lots to see. There is also a restaurant and big gift shop.
