Fabulous Saturday market with plenty of Upcountry bounty. Great selection of locally grown fruits and veggies. Friendly vendors, unique craft products, and a beautiful setting.
If you like hot sauce, be sure to check out HI Spice - incredibly delicious, made with locally grown ingredients and creative combinations. Clearly proud and passionate about their products.

I arrived at 6:00 am because I am an early riser.
The vendors were setting up their stands, while others were ready to do business.
I started by admiring the exotic flowers and purchasing loquats to take with me. Freshly opened coconut juice hydrated me.
A charismatic vendor gave me a sample of something sweet.
I purchased the pecan pie ball covered in chocolate.
The tamarind ginger shot went down easily.
The fresh Ahi poke was most satisfying.
The Indian Venison stew was filling.
Coffee and the Greek styled pastries finished my personal food tour at the Upcountry Farmers Market.
A friend took me to Kahakapao hiking trail to burn off the calories.

This incredible market opens at 7 on Saturday mornings. It is good to get there early…2 parking lots and street parking too. Some venders are so popular that you wait on a line for 10 minutes or so…and are treated to fresh broccolini, peppers, Japanese eggplant, bok choy, romaine, kale, chard, carrots, onions, ginger, papayas, mangoes, avocados, exquisite flowers and assorted baked goods and drinks. Friendly! Good prices! Outstanding selections! Closes by 11.

We stopped here on our way to Haleakala on a Saturday morning. We love visiting farmers markets at home and when traveling.
The selection of vegetables and fresh produce was amazing. Prices were reasonably and money goes straight to the farmers.
Interesting assortment of baked goods and prepared foods and drinks also. We enjoyed breakfast there and baked goods to go.
Parking around the streets and nearby lots. Everyone was very friendly and a great atmosphere!

This market was incredible and a perfect start to our Maui trip. We drove from Wailea and arrived right at 7:00, and by the time we left at 8:30 it was very busy. The variety of producers was great - they were all very kind and explained the different types of fruits and the proper way to peel and eat them.
There was the sweetest older lady selling her homemade Kulolo (a taro-based dessert) and a coconut-based pudding (I don’t recall the name of the dish) that were delicious. She was so kind in explaining the origins of each dish and how she prepared them. Highly recommend seeking her out if you are there. We also purchased a variety of fruit, a beautiful bouquet, honey, and woven palm leaf baskets.

Saturday is Farmers Market time in Upcountry... always good to walk off breakfast. So many good smells from fresh fish to curries to fruits to coconut. Pretty Koa wood bracelets and always good to load up on local veggies, honey, and açaí smoothies... yummy 🐝 🍯

I drove over from Wailea (about a 30 min. drive) and arrived around 7:30. Vendors seemed in full swing and still fully stocked. Lots of local fruits - lilikoi, jackfruit, mango, pineapple, avocado, papaya, etc. Lilikoi was 4/$1, best price I've found yet. My son and I had a delicious acai bowl, a stuffed pita (spinach & feta... SO good), a scone and a cookie. I also picked up some poisson cru after reading about it here, which was delicious. There were many other prepared food items that looked delicious. I highly recommend checking it out. It was a nice outing to get some local yummies.

What an amazing start to our vacation! We arrived on Friday evening and noticed this farmers market open only on Saturdays so decided to make the drive upcountry from Kihei. It is such a great local farmers market with tons of variety! I would recommend that you walk through the entire market before purchasing if you are in no rush! We were able to sample many of the fruits and various butters and jams while we browsed. I ended up buying a beautiful bouquet of hawaiian flowers for our hotel room during our stay. The fruit is so fresh! My girls enjoyed a delicious coconut while we walked as well. Such a good experience and great way to shop local for your produce during your stay.

Worth the trip upcountry! Not a big farmers market but great produce and food. Friendly vendors and great sampling opportunities. Had delicious empanadas, mochiko chicken in a nori cone for breakfast. And bought some tasty treats home with us.

We loved this Farmers Market because all the food was fresh and delicious. The vendors were very friendly and helpful, especially when you are unfamiliar with some of the unusual fruits and vegetables. Definitely worth your time. Take bags and cash.

The cost is very inexpensive but it's a farmers market and I believe they only allow farmers products. You would have to go to there website and see.

This is the current schedule, but check before you go at mauibus (internet link not allowed). The trip is about a 40 minute ride from the first stop at the Queen Kaahumanu Mall. Take the Upcountry Islander #40 bus to the Pukalani Terrace shopping center (last stop), then transfer to the #39 Kula Villager bus. On the #39, it's just a 10 minute ride. Get off at the first stop on the #39 at Long's Pharmacy on Kula Highway and walk two blocks to the market. Since the market begins at 7 am and lasts only till 11 am, start early. For the return trip, the #39 stops at 10 minutes after the hour at Kula Hwy fronting Longs.
