I'm a science center "fan" and have been to dozens of such in cities nationwide. This is one of the very best. I took our five-year-old grandson along and he was enthralled.

Fraco, com poucas experiências e muitos equipamentos sem funcionar. Não vale gastar tempo de passeio nesse pequeno museu. Fica dentro do maravilhoso Balboa Park e só.

Bought a family membership earlier this year. Come to find out I can't just print the tickets and give them to my kids, since I work out of town and can't be there to pick up my FREE tickets that is part of the family membership. I did call and spoke to the "person in charge" and was informedthere are no exceptions. You would think that if they really wanted to promote science that they would welcome the use of the FREE family tickets to children of the parents who bought the Family Membership and or any other kids who would benefit from the experience.

Not a lot to see, young kids area on top floor best thing they had, other than that not geared to young kids. Old science displays, not a lot of engaging things for kids under 7. Stuff seemed kinda dirty too.

It was so much fun!! We went on July 4th and there were so few people there. It was great. We have a 4 year old and a 9 year old and both were thoroughly entertained by the majority of the exhibits at the museum. They both loved the little kid area, we could have spent more than an area just there. We chose the turtle movie as our included IMAX experience, which was very interesting, even the kids liked it. We ended up staying a good 3-4 hours then we walked through Balboa Park. I highly recommend checking out the Fleet Science Center, it was one of the highlights of our time in the San Diego area.

We went here knowing how much our son loves hands on museums. This had a lot of things he could interact with. He enjoyed the electricity area and the miniatures area. My one knock on this is that it was small. The largest portion of the museum was the digital self. Though this area had some cool things it had a few that were not as exciting as well.
Overall it was a great place to take kids but it does have limited space.

The Fleet Science Center is a great place to take children. It is interactive and educational. The IMAX theater is very nice and we enjoyed the movie we saw that was part of the admission price.

We were seeking something to do with rain on the horizon and everything in San Diego closes at 4:30 or 5pm! It makes having a full day difficult. But the science center was open until 6pm and had a Sea Turtle IMax movie showing at 6pm. So off we went. We spent about 2 hours in the science center (for 22M, 19M, 52M) we had fun and did the VR motion ride for a few dollars each. It was worth it! With smaller children you could spend more time and a lot of the museum is interactive. We still had fun! Then at 6pm we watched the IMax movie, there was like 15 of us in total and then left. We had dodged the rain and had a great experience in the meantime!

Whilst our 4 and 2 year olds both enjoyed their visit I felt as it it was somewhat lacking in innovative displays and a lot of the building areas and play areas have many elements that can be done in the home. That said we did spend an enjoyable few hours here - I'm just not sure it was worth the entrance fee.

This was a bit of a disappointment. The exhibits, while interesting, were generally oriented toward kids. They are very interactive. Unfortunately, it was swarming with kids on field trips so we adults had very little time with the interactive exhibits. There is an IMAX theatre (only one of the three films is included with the admission fee.) We saw Cuba, which was lushly produced and very interesting. The time-lapse photography of coral was worth the price of the admission.
