I originally found this spa on Rue La La- took a risk and tried it out. Loved it! Clean and nice and a great location from work.
I have been seeing DR.. Amy Perlmutter and she is fantastic! Loved her as well.
They would call me if I was over due for an appointment - just all around great
Then- I come in for my appointment and the procedure I have been doing for almost a year has changed policy/price.
Now I am leaving on vacation the next day. I had no time to find and schedule a new appointment somewhere else- (bc I can get the same thing and the original price many places)
I felt simply bamboozled. I was not told this on the phone. I was not given advance notice that the treatment I have been getting for a year will now have new enforced rules/price.
The office manager was the one who shared the news with me- once I was already in the room sitting with the doctor. It was awkward for me as a client to be told this while the doctor is standing there waiting to start. Just an awkward situation. When I left- that same office manager who I always chat with when I come and go- didn't even look up from her desk. I was very quiet and didn't say much during checkout and no one checked in with me about this new policy. No parting apology. Nothing.
I am disheartened to write this- but I felt like I had no choice and needed to warn other possible new long term clients. Once I find a place I like- I become ridiculously loyal and my work associates and friends follow my lead. I almost considered dealing with the change because I like the spa and the doctor- but the way it was handled was terrible. You don't wait until the client is in the seat to start discussing new policy and price change.
What a bummer. I need to start looking for a new place. I don't want to- but they really have not given me another choice.

Dysport lasts anywhere from 4-6 months and when I recieved treatment at Sensitive Touch it only lasted two months tops. So dissapointing they skimp on the customers to save a few bucks, NEVER going back and will tell everyone I know not to go.

SHOCKED! They took me in a room and quoted me a price I verified so I could go home and discuss with my Husband. When I arrived back they recommended a "cheaper" alternative and assured me it would be less. As I'm leaving and paying the price was double what I was guaranteeing it would be and they claim they said "per side" which simply was a lie. I paid it and left as I was leaving I heard the SAME conversation happening with the next patient - no joke. Looking through the web they do this all the time so I will be contacting the online & Yelp customers who had the same issue and filing with the FTC and NYC department of Consumer affairs. Feel free to message me to join.

Ingrown beard hairs have always been problem for me and I needed to shave twice a day. Before I went to Sensitive Touch I had been to other places and basically got the 'run around'. Now, here, I'm getting the treatment needed at the right price and the results speak for themselves. Laser hair removal has cured the problem and I'm thrilled with the result. I would recommend Sensitive Touch to my friends and family.

i visited this spa since it was highly recommended by co-workers. The service was quick and attentive. I'm definitely planning to visit again. It's really convenient to get to since several trains are near by and they have hours that cater to those who want to go after work hours. I received a consultation that was no frills and the manager did not try to sell me the service. I did not feel pressured at all, which is great! Since it's so easy to succumb to pressure and sales pitches.

While away on vacation i remembered that i needed to get a botox treatment. I was looking for a medical spa in manhattan that can do a good job with botox because one wrong move and it can injure a nerve in my face. Sensitive touch had the most positive reviews on google so i decided to try them out. The spa it self is beautiful. Very clean with a soothing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and try to help you in any way they can. I told them that i was a tourist and they gave me a great price knowing that i wont be coming back. If i lived in NY this would have been my new spa.
