Absolutely amazing views from this upscale but comfortable rooftop bar. Drinks were excellent, but a touch pricey even for Manhattan. But the drink prices are offset by free entry, and the fantastic views.

Rooftop bars in NYC are a bit tricky and can be difficult to navigate w/ reservations, etc. We stopped by The Press Lounge prior to attending Airotic Soiree. Spacious and great views. Staff was attentive. Small bites menu as well.

Il locale è sicuramente suggestivo, con una vista mozzafiato sullo skyline di Manhattan...ma 53$ per due cocktail è un prezzo eccessivo. Si tratta comunque di un ambiente raffinato, con selezione all'ingresso (attenzione a come andate vestiti), ma non la ritengo affatto un'esperienza da fare assolutamente, anche perché se siete in vacanza a New York di punti panoramici da cui ammirare lo skyline ne vedrete molti altri.

The view is amazing. One of the best rooftop bars. The menu have some strange drinks and they were avarage, nothing special. The staff was nice. And again, astonishing view of midtown's skyline. The admission charge and drinks are quite expensive. Good for romantic nights

YIKES! RUDE! Terrible Service!
Stayed at the hotel and went up to meet guests who were seated. Staff got aggressive and told us to go downstairs and come back up though our guests were right in front of us, we could not sit with them.
WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

Splendida location gestita vergognosamente.
Si tratta di uno splendido rooftop con vista notturna mozzafiato sui grattacieli di NYC. Peccato che la gestione sia pretenziosa e superficiale.
Per la prenotazione occorre un deposito di 50 dollari a persona su carta di credito e in caso si consumi per un importo inferiore scordatevi il resto. Questo sarebbe davvero il minore dei problemi, credetemi.
Procedendo con ordine:
-procedura di ingresso rallentata per un errore dello staff (addirittura un caso di omonimia tra le prenotazioni), nulla di grave, ma insomma. Il ragazzo che ci ha accompagnato al nostro tavolo è stato comunque cortese.
-cameriere scortese e frettoloso, supponente, ci ha fatto sentire indesiderati. Non mi capitava da tempo di sentirmi così a disagio. Stava lì in silenzio, non un sorriso,mentre studiavamo il menu, senza una parola di suggerimento. L’unica cosa che è stato in grado di dire “can I have your credit card for taxes ecc”.
-aperitivo scarso in qualità e quantità: ci hanno servito un hummus e degli affettati miseri, quasi ghiacciati buttati su un piatto senza alcuna cura, con quattro fette di pane (sempre freddo, leit motiv della serata). Non ci hanno portato le posate né i tovaglioli. Pinot nero servito freddo di frigo in bicchieri da acqua e arrivato dopo il tagliere. Imperdonabile per chiunque, figurarsi per due italiani.
-scortesia continuata anche sul finale quando mi sono recata in cassa per pagare e mi è stato detto con sgarbo che il deposito non era in alcun modo recuperabile. Non abbiamo protestato, eravamo più interessati ad andarcene che altro. Naturalmente mancia obbligatoria, come da policy americana, ma questo lo sapevamo, certamente lasciata controvoglia visto il servizio orrendo.
Suggerimento: cambio radicale della gestione di questo locale snob e privo di qualità. Un vero peccato perché la location ha un grandissimo potenziale.
Fino ad allora l’unico consiglio è non andarci.

This place has been one of the worst NYC experiences we have ever had. Visitors are advised to read reviews before signing up for the mandatory reservation price and poor service offered in exchange for a spectacular view. We selected our hotel stay based on the reviews of the rooftop bar. We went upstairs to check it out. We found seating on 2 tables allocated for "unreserved guests". The service was offhandish, cocktails below average and served in platstic glasses. All of this did not deter us taking the next step. The Press Lounge is described as one of the best in the world! The view is indeed spectacular but thats where it ends. We asked about reserving a table with a view. The manager referred us to the Website. The web site states 'All Preferred Reserved Seating reservations require a table deposit that’s applied to a minimum food & beverage spend of $50 per guest (excluding tax and gratuity).' Thats what we did with high expectations. Being reduced to tears would be an understatement. After paying the deposit for reserved seating with a view we were allocated to the same unreserved seating of the night before. We asked the manager to reseat us. He adamantly refused to, claiming that once seated this was fixed for the next 90 min. His refusal to reseat us was not related to availability of our preferred seating or based on the number of guests. We watched the seats we would have preferred remain empty for the period of our stay. Reserved signs were placed on them. The staff and manager on duty claimed that they were abiding by management rules. The service was poor, they were well aware of our unhappiness but it did not stop them from asking for a tip. Ultimately, not worth a visit. There are rooftops in NYC with better views, exceptional service and willing to make your visit memorable. Do not be fooled by the restaurants claims. They do not live up to it.

Vue exceptionnelle, lieu chaleureux et moderne, personnel à l’accueil sympathique MAIS une fois en haut service et cocktail à revoir !!!
1- commande au bar, pour un lounge de ce niveau c’est très surprenant …
2- verres en plastique
3- cocktails beaucoup trop forts en alcool et pas terribles. Mon verre est resté plein et sur le bord de la table toute la soirée, personne n’est venu me demander si tout se passait bien ! Pas très friendly ni commercial.
4- prix exorbitants. Comptez minimum 22$ le cocktail
Je pense que cette vue ne vaut pas le reste ! On peut trouver un meilleur compromis.
1- commande au bar, pour un lounge de ce niveau c’est très surprenant …
2- verres en plastique

Genuinely the worst place we have ever been and have never been reduced to tears by a restaurant/bar before.
We paid $100 to enter which was meant to go towards drinks. View was pretty average so I’d recommend elsewhere if you’re looking for a good rooftop bar.
We ended up only having 4 drinks (about $75 worth of drinks out of our $100) because we were having pretty bad service and just wanted to leave. The man came to settle the bill and we said ‘but you have about $20 left to spend’ but we said to just add that to tips and he said fine. We then left and I had 5 text messages saying we hadn’t paid the bill. We were pretty shocked at this and rang them. A really really rude waitress then said ‘you didn’t pay your bill’ so we gave them our room number (staying at the ink 48 hotel which is the same building) because we never had any intention of not ‘paying a bill’. The waitress said she would ‘investigate’ and ring us back the next day.
They actually disturbed and rang our hotel room at 12:30am to tell us we owed them $8 because our deposit of $100 and the $20 we kindly told them to keep couldn’t be used as tax payment and we had to go up to them before 2am to pay this.
I was upset because I’ve never experienced this and thought we were actually being kind in giving them the extra as tips despite poor service but they still demanded we went up and paid $8 we didn’t technically owe. This wasn’t stated at all in my booking email.
When we went up we were treated like absolute criminals by the staff. The guy who took the payment was nice and explained why he had to do it.
Just don’t go here. You get rubbish service, average view and it’s not even worth it!

Ridiculous charge for admission and then they RUSH you out, can't even enjoy the money you put down over some relaxed drinks. Must leave after 90 minutes. The cocktails were poorly made and the menu greatly lacking. Our waitresses were nice but the gentleman giving us the times up had major attitude. Not worth the price.

The gentlemen in our party had on shorts and polo shirts the evening we visited as we had just come from a evening cruise on the Hudson. Hope this info helps you
