Sorry to Say Juvenex is going down hill slowly
Dirty and the neglect by the owner and management.
There was water standing in the drain which is health hazard if the NYC Health Department walked through
When my Fiancé and I went for our massage the massage therapist who was NOT giving us the massage kept on coming in and talking to our massage therapist, totally unacceptable and NOT PROFESSIONAL !
Also the tubs on the main floor were dirty
There was chemicals on the countertop by the wet bar by the pools . You don’t leave that stuff in the open like that
The health department would fine them for that too
Sorry to say that it’s time to find a new place use to be good but not any more

It’s not my first time in this place but today was not just great. It was amazing. The massage and the body scrub were the best. So recommend.

This place was okay. A little expensive for what it is and kind of small. Ultimately nice. I prefer and aire vibe or even spa 57 but this place is solid I suppose. It;s also 24hours which I guess is cool.

Wonderful time @ Juvenex this past weekend - Joy & June were outstanding in helping is navigate the spa, the treatments they provided, as well as being just straight up friendly & professional. The body scrub was just as advertised and the pools / sauna's were just as they should be and relaxing. We can't wait to go again soon.

Clean and professional. Adequate locker rooms, Friendly and professional staff. Knowledgeable in the area of therapeutic massage. Helen is a master of her craft.

I've been coming to this spa yearly for the last 15 years mainly because it's open 24 hours and serves as an amazing date night. Prices are decent for NYC. There are dry and wet saunas and I recommend the 4 have massage.

I thought the prices for the services were extremly overpriced. When I tried to book an event it asked for a promo code. I contacted the vendor for a promo code and they said they don't offer one. I felt their advertisment was very misleading. There are more affordable spas in the area.

We were visiting NYC and havent been in a while so we decided to take in an evening soaking and getting body scrubs at Juvenex. We did not have reservations but we hoped that the spa was not too busy that night. We stepped out of the busy crowds milling around the restaurants on 32nd street and took the rickety elevator up to the quiet calm of Juvenex. They were able to take us right away and We both got the body scrub package.
It was not my first time in Juvenex since I used to live in NY but it was hers, but to me the spa hasnt changed since I visited it a few years ago. The setup is the same. After paying, we were given slippers, a robe, and towels. We were then led to the locker area and told to change in a side room - which was funny since the glass door would constantly open spontaneously so we finally just left it open. Their lockers have digital locks that you set the combination yourself so you do not need to bring a lock. We were given disposible paper swim suits which are way too big and really served no purpose, as you will see. The women's suits are a two piece brief and tube top and the guys are a pair of boxers. At night, after 5 pm, they are still coed and 'require' bathing suits. Though, when we started out in the shower area, everyone was nude since it is difficult to shower and soap wearing the large baggy swimsuits which made the whole needing swimsuits in the small spa pretty pointless. We didn't even put on the suits til after the shower, just walked through the spa with robes on. The showers are behind the three soaking tubs and the entire area is fairly open to the spa. We don't really believe that the staff actually cares that much about coed nudity as long as there is no trouble. More about that later. The showers have like two temperatures, cold and blistering hot. They do have shampoo and body soap in the shower stalls. And there are hooks on the wall for robes, towels, etc.
After showering, we reluctantly pulled the paper suits out of the styrene bags and put them on and started on the Jade journey before our body scrubs. There is a wet sauna encased in glass that is extremely hot, three soaking tubs of varying temps, the last tub being cold. A dry sauna that is quite hot and is shaped like a domed earthen hut. We spent about two hours going through the different saunas and pools. Heating up in the wet sauna then jumping into the cold tub to cool down. We soaked in the larger lemon bath and met a few nice people there. Juvenex can get to be a fairly social place since it is not very large, which is nice compared to the usually isolated spa environment. The staff would bring us water and check the water occasionally. They drained and cleaned the tubs every so often, which was nice. After the majority of people trickled out of the spa, it was just us and couple Russian girls enjoying a girls night out, we were taken back to get our body scrubs.
If you've never had a legit korean body scrub then you dont know what clean means. They do the bodyscrub in a private area in the back of the spa. They have side by side tables so we were able to get our scrubs together. You strip off the paper suits and lay on the table and let the scrubbing begin. They clean literally 'everywhere'. The amount of skin that comes off is incredible. Be prepared to be exposed in a bunch of different positions so that they can get everywhere. They use a rough loufa glove at first and different soaps followed by rinses with warm water from buckets during the whole process. You can just see the ropes of soap and skin coming off. When you are finally flipped face up on the table, they place a cucumber face mask on and continue scrubbing away. After the scrubbing and facemask, they even wash your hair. The ladies then massage lotion over everything followed by a final standing rinse. You really do feel like a kid again getting a bath. The process takes quite a while. Our skin has never felt so soft afterwards. After the scrub, we didn't bother putting our suits back on but did grab our robes. The ladies who did the scrubs didn't even blink and just took our suits and threw them away. We were then told to head for the dry sauna to relax. We left our robes and sat on towels in the sauna with the girls we met before they went in for their massages. We were then treated to some tea and fresh pineapple at the small bar in the spa after the sauna.
We really love how Juvenex is this oasis of tranquility in the middle of the city. The staff keeps everything clean and relaxed. The coed social environment is a nice change from either the super isolated spa experiences or the waterpark like atmosphere of many large Korean spas. All the people we have met there have all been very nice, respectful, and open minded. We do wish that even though that the you must have bathing suit required after 5p policy is super lax that they would just get rid of it. Even the girls we met ditched their suits after their massages and commented on how silly it was since we all started out naked in the showers together anyway. We will definitely be back next time we are in NYC.

Juvenex is clean and friendly spa in the heart of Manhattan's Koreatown. I've been there twice for massage and spa, and I've loved it both times. People are very friendly and helpful. The saunas, steam rooms, aromatherapy rooms are all very good. With the couples package you can use them all day - although bear in mind it's only co-ed after 5pm (women only before that.) The Basic couples getaway was nice, it included a hot tub soak, fresh fruit, and champagne. My only slight niggles are that the fruit tray was just a little pineapple each, which felt a little miserly, and that our champagne bottle disappeared after we left the hot tub for the massages, even though we hadn't finished it. We just assumed it would follow us. To be fair, we didn't ask for it after the massage either; we just wrote it off. Perhaps that was our mistake.
Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I will definitely go back again.

Hi, serlingj2000. What would you like to know about this attraction? Is this a place primarily for women or couples? Are there ample hot tubs for a single man to just relax and soak?
Is their public nudity ? locker rooms,suanas,pools? thank you

The spa during women's only times are clothing optional throughout the facility. During coed hours, suits are required by all. Though the definition of a swim suit is quite broad. The changing and locker areas are not very private and honestly we dont even know why they bother having a suit requirement during coed times. You get naked to change and to get a body scrub, there is nothing really dividing these spaces except for a thin sheet partition that doesnt really do much. Plus we have worn and seen suits there that really dont amount to much coverage if at all.

Do this spa do mixed nudity days? can't see on their website, seems a bit male unfriendly and sexist considering it offers everything to women and very little to men.

no, unfortunately. There really is no official mixed nude time. When it is coed, swimsuits are required. But if you reserve the private couples tub, you can be nude there with the door closed. If you get a body scrub, you and your partner are also nude during the scrub. There is also no male only times.

Read your review on the Juvenex spa, big help to me, as i am thinking of taking my wife there. can you tell me is it a full naturist spa, hot tubs sauna etc or just for the treatments like the body scrub or massage. Your help will be most useful.
