Our tour guide was Peter Laskowich. He was fantastic. Knowledgeable. Fun. Entertaining. I live in New York. I have been coming to New York for 20 years. And I learned a lot. Highly, highly recommended.

Peter was our guide. I would ask for him if he is available . The group was was really entertained as Peter provided information about Grand Central Station from the time of it's inception. Amazing stories and facts that you can only learn on this tour. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Did the free tours by foot tour with Cliff. Was a really good tour. Cliff was very knowledgabl, enthusiastic and fun to listen to. Learned a lot about grand central terminal. Would highly recommend.

I went with my brother (24 y/o) to the pay as you wish GCT tour (by free tours by foot). The tour guide (cliff) was AMAZING and very knowledgable
It was really interesting hearing about the history behind the building, and how NYC had developed over the years. It was the perfect amount of fun facts vs hardcore history.
Also, great thing to do if you're looking to stay indoors (some part of the tour is outside, but it's very short).

We have had an excellent free guided tour with our well informed guide Maddie. Thanks a lot - it has been a great opportunity to get to know this historically interesting area!

I decided to play tourist in my city and see if I could get some new facts and perspectives on the place I call home. I've done walking tours in other cities and I was really blown away, so I figured that I'd give this a chance.
It was fine. I want blown away. I feel the tour guide wanted to give us a show and she was kind of "look at/listen to me", but her humor fell flat. Some of her info was new and I saw things that I hadn't considered before, some things I saw opportunity to speak about (concerning the neighborhood and history of development in NYC) she totally missed, and other things she flat out got wrong in the face of information plaques or displays right in front of her.
If you've never done a walking tour like this and don't know a lot about NYC history and you want to dip your toes into the sorts of things most tourist miss, you'll enjoy this. If you're already a history buff or NYC vet, you'll probably end up falling behind the group to take some photos you hadn't before and notice a few things you might have walked past previously like I (and a couple other members of the group) had periodically ended up doing.

This hour and three quarter guided tour started opposite the main entrance to the terminal at 12.30pm. On Friday. It Is a free tour and takes you around the terminal looking at the buildings associated to the terminal and inside the terminal itself. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was difficult to hear sometimes as the area is busy and quite a large gathering on the tour. Would defiantly recommend this tour.

An informative and entertaining 90 minute tour in the area surround Grand Central Terminal: history and architecture mingle with the hustle and bustle of the busy terminal. Grand Central Terminal is gorgeous and taking the tour highlights interesting facts and anecdotes.
The tour is well organized with two guides splitting partipants. Ours was excellent. Starts on time and never drags on. and to top it all off, its free!

Last time I was in NY, I did a free walking tour of Historical Lower Manhattan. I had a friday spare....and so planned another walking tour of somewhere that I have been before.....but not investigated properly.
I met the group at 1228 opposite the terminal and was put in Peter's group.
He is eccentric and walks fast.....but boy does he seem to know his stuff.
The group of 20 or so of us followed him around the terminal and the building around it. There was a right mixture of people. but everyone seemed to get something out of it.
I would recommend this to ANYONE who has a Friday Lunchtime free in NY.

Peter gave us an entertaining enthusiastically delivered tour of grand central and the station's architectural history. Free with meet up at 12:30 Friday.

Hi, I am taking a 13 year old and a 15 year old. Which would be better, the family rafting or adventure rafting? I read reviews about people falling out and that makes me a bit nervous as I am taking the neighbor's child. Would the family rafting be too tame or still alot of fun for teens?
Also, is it true that if it storms and they cancel your rafting time, then you are basically just out of luck? That is the whole reason we are going. Are there any tips to make sure we actually get to go rafting as I am planning this a month out and unsure of the weather the day we will be going. Thank you!
