‪The Big Trains Station‬

‪If you take Amtrak to Philly, you will arrive at this station. it's big and references another time when there was a lot of train travel. There are people here when it gets time to leave, but otherwise, it is quiet. A couple of places to buy food, and even a bar!‬

‪Imposing building, well restored and very clean. Lots of wooden benches and an exceptionally clean women's restroom. Good signage for tickets, Amtrak, services, etc. Felt safe there. Food options (Wendy's, Jersey Subs, Au Bon Pain, Pret a Manger) plus a comprehensive store for snacks, magazines, & sundries.‬

‪Monument to the Railroads‬

‪This is the Amtrak station for the center of Philadelphia. It is a grand Greek temple built to honor the grand period of train travel. Now a few people pass through it on the way to the suburbs or to East Coast cities. Some places to eat and drink.‬

‪We felt very safe there. Alot of security as well as police presence. IMHO very well marked for different trains EX Amtrak, Septa, NJTransit, etc.
Variety of food places inside----not alot but enough.‬

‪The best red cap service I've ever experienced. He could run the whole show at the 30th st. station. He keeps track of bags, people and trains and still has time to be social and polite. ‬
