‪We took our daughter to the Paddle Boating Pavilion because she's been asking to go on the swans. It was a fun time and we got a pretty good workout too!‬

‪Spiritual Park Setting‬

‪Are we ever lucky to have this beautiful park, walking path, swan paddle boats and more. Essex County did a remarkable job in turning a lump of twigs, sticks, clay and rocks into a local paradise fit for everyone.

Make sure you get there early if you want a paddle boat. Weekends fill up quickly. Mid week better. Great place for birthday parties. If you have to wait, then pack a picnic lunch. Definite stop in West Orange!!!‬

‪A place you young and old‬

‪Essex county has given us a piece of family heaven. They look a deserted reservoir area and gave us a 21/2 walking path with both sun shade and benches along the path. We have paddle boats and a state of art playground for the very young to older kids. It is landscaped with Jersey plants and well maintained. Parking is free bring lunch/ dinner and spent the day. Open till 10:00 pm and patrolled. Just five minutes from our Famous Turtle Back Zoo. There is something for every age and our canine friends are welcome (leashed)‬

‪Fun way to spend 1/2 hour‬

‪This was a lot of fun. Be careful not to do it on a windy or hot day or it will become more like a work day. If like adult beverages, go to the Boathouse after and sit outside.‬

‪Beautiful lake, playground, walking grounds, and boat house restaurant. Highly recommend. We we very luck that it was perfect temperature so we loved it. Bring sunscreen or wear a hate if you burn easily though. ‬

‪The family definitely enjoyed paddle-boating in this space by the Turtle Back Zoo. Very open and family-friendly and the playground and miniature golf in the same area all helps for a full day of fun.‬

‪This Stunningly serene 2 mile lake and forest loop is fabulous. Whether you are running, walking, or strolling this paved loop should not be missed. Leashed dogs are welcomed, but kids on bikes, skates or boards are not. Enjoy a drink at the Boat House, but its pricey and food is not good. Children can enjoy the swan boats and Regatta Playground.‬

‪Incredible walking/running or relaxation spot‬

‪This is a really perfect spot for an afternoon/morning run or walk or even to chat and relax/read a book if you want to get out a bit. The plants, animals and water is beautiful. There are always beautiful turtles or birds and fishes as well. I highly recommend it‬

‪Nice day trip for young kids‬

‪We went on a summer Sunday and the area was quite busy. There's parking across the road but it took a few minutes to get a spot. The park is nicely designed and has interesting climbing structures for kids. Two nice amenities that we noticed was large number of swings for kids and adequate seating for adults. The park is very scenic as it's situated right at the lake. Paddle boating is available for adults and kids 2+. The kids really enjoyed that. We paddled to the other side of the lake and got to see the train passing at nearby Turtleback Zoo. Paddle boating is $15 for 2 people and $19 for 3-5. Each boat holds up to 5 people. There's a really nice walking path that goes all around the lake and is quite shady. Perfect for all ages.‬
