we planned this trip for 3 months we were on a tour with amtrak which included the tour with sun tours . our guide was jack who was a retired teacher and part time musician . it started well enough with some jokes but soon deteriorated into lengthy disocurse about jacks father mother grand ma uncles cousins nieces nephews and a daughter . the tow people he did not say much was his son and his ex wife .. by the time it was done we all could have made a sketch of family tree and who did what and who went to school where and who had what sports injury ,, and this is not the worst folks we were held captive and treated to several croonings of the said jack with his guitar when it was obvious that he could not sing .. if had an option would have bailed out but the public transport being not a good option i stayed put
what we did nto learn was things about the part .. he did know some superficial stuff about the park but .. this i could have read in a guide book of the 7 hours plus tour 3 were spent in the park 1 was taken by the planned unexpected musical interludes .. on the whole a complete waste of time .. my suggestion ,, since you cant pick the driver just dont pick this company .. lookin gat the reviews looks like jack in not alone ...
btw he is a super nice guy .. would be fun to be around in different circumstances

We were very disappointed by the tour. This tour had been chosen because we expected to learn about the Blackfeet. This is what we learned from Dan: his mother had a stroke last year, he visits his friend in jail in Oregon, drivers in Glacier are terrible, and we can’t imagine how hard it is to sit all day on the bus and talk. We really don’t understand how stressful it is to be him. Dan says he has been doing this job for ten years. Maybe he’s burned out. Maybe someone should provide him with a script so the customer gets what they were expecting.

I went on this tour hoping to learn somethings about Glaciet National Park along with somethings about the blackfeet tribe. Jeremiah our guide only talked about the history of his tribe & didn't tell us about the park. He made one stop at the trail of the cedars, and walked way ahead of the group & didn't tell us anything about it or what trail it was. I wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone. It wasn't worth the $65 each one of us paid for it.

Enjoyed about three hours touring the area. Wish we had seen more but we were on a big bus tour. Enjoyed the visit the guide was knowledge

We were at glacier national park for a family get together and decided to go on a park tour. We went for a 6 hour tour and Kimma was a great tour guide. She took us all over and continually asked us what we would like to see and let us see exactly what we wanted to see. She was patient and enjoyable. There were 9 of us and we had a great time in this air conditioned bus. She let us out when we wanted to be out of the bus for little hikes or to see interesting spots and she waited for us to be done.

Staying at Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier.On our first day it was perfect taking the 7 1/2 hour Sun tour with an experienced guide . We did the iconic Going to the Sun Road aboard an air conditioned comfortable bus. Jeremiah was our guide and SO knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of the park and the Blackfeet Indians. He was so kind ,and full of information...also with a sense of humor! I really believe there was no question he could not answer. The time flew by and we felt more prepared to experience the next few days of our Glacier Park experience with a solid base of understanding. So glad that we began our trip this way. Shouts out to JREMIAH

We took a Sun bus tour on the Road to the Sun in Glacier National Park from Apgar to Logan Pass. Sun Tours is owned and operated by the Blackfeet Indian Nation.
Our tour guide , William, was a Blackfoot and Pueblo Indian. He was very knowledgeable about Glacier and highlighted the tour by explaining his tribe's customs and traditions in connection with life in upper Montana.
We got out of the van to view special park features and William pointed out how the Blackfeet used native plants for medicinal use. Our tour took us to Logan Pass to view the Continental Divide which was jammed with cars with no place to park, but our 15 people van had a reserved spot. Our driver was very cautious on a very difficult scary road and we learned so much about the Blackfeet people and the spectacular Glacier Park. If you go to Glacier the Sun Tour is an absolute must.

Our recent visit to Glacier National Park was everything we had hoped for and there was so much to see. We decided to take the Glacier Sun Tour on the West side to make sure we could enjoy the sites and let someone else do the driving. The driver was a Native American and knew the Park and all the highlights very well. The tour bus only accommodates about 18 people so you have the opportunity to ask questions and get acquainted with other tourists on the bus. The tour includes multiple stops where you can get off to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. The only disappointment for us was that we were not able to go all the way to the end of the major highlight of the area which is "Going to the Sun Road" because the road was closed due to possible avalanches at the time we were there. I would suggest going the end of June or during July and reservations are required.
