Great place. Full of character. Super helpful staff that go above and beyond. Rooms have everything you need. The place is lovely- a little Wes Anderson. Full of ‘jungle style ‘ plants. Indoor pool.
Breakfast delicious.

It’s now a second hand clothes shop. No cinema anymore, but you can recognize the building. Such a pity, seems they’ve prioritized other things

Il y a souvent une confusion dans les commentaires. Cet ancien cinéma n’a rien à voir avec l’autre cinéma, lui aussi ancien et qui a été magnifiquement transformé en hôtel.
Celui-ci est tout triste et délabré. Il abrite une boutique de vêtements bien triste elle aussi. Il faut s’y arrêter quelques minutes uniquement pour songer à ce que cette charmante ville de Kampot a été sous le protectorat français.

beautifully retrofitted old cinema now a delightful hotel, good central location but amazingly quiet. food (lunch) was exceptional. would highly recommend.

Wanneer haaks staan op iets overeenkomt met het overstijgen ervan is Hotel Old Cinema een voorbeeld daarvan. Laat niet na om er een bezoek aan te brengen. Overnachten en tafelen zijn beide af. Comfortabel en smaakvol aan meer dan redelijke prijzen. Een ervaring die elke reiziger in het charmante stadje uitermate tevreden zal stellen.

All you can really see of the cinema is the facade, and it now has a store in it. It's not in great shape, but it's still there. This is really only for either enthusiasts of modern architecture, or cinema history. Most tourists would likely think that there's nothing to see here. For most, a visit of 5 minutes - 15 minutes will do. If you want a quirky out of the way site, this is one. It's part of the tradition of the New Khmer Architecture.

I went to an art opening there and really loved the vibe of the place. Beautifully redecorated but retaining the original charm.

Bangunan ini tua dan busuk, sangat jelek, dulu ini bioskop tapi sepertinya sudah lama tutup...mesti ada orang bilang ini heritage building tapi kalau tidak mau direnovasi lebih bagus dibongkar aja!?
