The trolley is easy to find and they run by often. red for the main line or green for the garden district. You can hop on hop off anywhere you like, just pull the string by the window. Better than trying to navigate by car!

My friend and I decided to hop on a streetcar to see some of the outlying areas. We were not disappointed! Our tram ride was a highlight... for 3 dollars each we bought passes that allowed us to hop on and off for 24 hours. Google maps provided us with sufficient details on stop names and locations. I would strongly recommend this means of travel to all visitors.

If you never rode a Street Car, it's a must. It not the smoothest ride but it takes you back to simpler time. Unfortunately for us we took it during rush hour so it was very crowded. How ever it's probably the cheapest way to get around town. It conveniently stops at most of the major areas around town. If you download the app of RTA it will let you know your waiting time for the next Trolley. You can also check out google maps for that information.

Saved us the time and frustration of driving in areas built for foot travel. However, due to my physical abilities, they were hard for me to use due to the high step into the trolley and what felt like a jump off a cliff in exiting the trolley. Now both shoulders are in pain two weeks later, and my knees are also in pain.

All the information is on north.com Good to buy “Jazzy Passes” in Walgreens on Canal. The senior day pass is absurdly cheap, buy the $3 adult one and help maintain this characteristic facility

We found these street cars convenient and novel. The windows were all open, and there was a festive ambience even though it wasn't still Mardi Gras. Fun way to experience the French Quarter.

I LOVE riding the trolley. It will take you to just about anywhere or close to where you want to go in NO. Very reasonable, we are Seniors so it was only 40 cents each. You can ride it as far as you want. Be sure to obtain a RTA map, it will help you navigate your way through NO much more smoother. We did not have a car and I'm so glad that we did not because we got the feel of NO and seen more sites than if we would have had a car. No parking problems either.
The conductors or very helpful in helping you get to where you want to go, which connector you should take. You can buy a pass as well.
St. Charles will take you through the Garden District and you can sit back and enjoy the beauty of the homes.

Helpful conductor, suggested the $3 day pass, which was good value. They take cash which is good! We used this to go to the garden district, Audubon park and beyond, before returning downtown

Take the St. Charles line to the Garden District to pass by the beautiful houses, round trip is 1.5 hours.

we took the trolly every where. so convient and the drivers are so helpful letting you know when to get off when you let them know what you need. .80 cents for an all day pass called a Jazzy pass,(need exact change) if you are over 65.

Is there a streetcar pickup near 2303 Louisiana St -? If so, will it get us close the the French Quarter and back?

Yes you will need to walk to St Charles St and get on the street car there. The street car system will take you where you want to go.

Yes...you deposit 80 cents exact change in the fare box and request a Senior Jazzy Pass. A card will be issued good for 24 hours.
Or you can upload the Le Pass app on your phone and purchase a Senior Jazzy Pass with a credit card. The Jazzy Pass will display for 24 hours, and you show the drive your phone screen as you board.
The driver does not make change, nor does the fare box...exact change only. You must show your photo ID with date of birth to purchase a Senior Jazzy Pass.

There should be an RTA sign on the corner- however the trolley line is shortened for repairs. I think it's a bus you catch from your hotel location and they will drop you off at the stop for the actual trolley. check with your hotel desk.

Hi , just drive to St. Charles Ave. From downtown go toward the garden district for about 15 blocks. In that area all the side streets are free parking. So you might be a block or two from the St Charles streetcar.

I would ride it to the end of st Charles and start walking back, then you can hop back on when your tired.
