Nice tour for jazz lovers. Beautiful views. Nice boat. The cocktail was too sweet. We recommend this tour.

We were supposed to cruise the next dat on one of the other boats a d it canceled on us. We were not able to get the meal (which suvks but since we booked about 3 hours before not surprisingly). The staff were outstanding and the cruise was a very good cruise. We have done cruises on many other bodies of water and this was very comparable to most of the better ones. The jazz music was good and played most of the time

Cruise was ok. It wasn't what we thought it to be. Disappointed that the drink or at least tea wasn't included with the meal. Meal was delicious but lukewarm and not piping hot as expected. I wasn't a fan of that type of jazz as much of the songs were depressing but glad I took the trip for the experience but will pass next time.

We did the dinner jazz cruise. The wait staff was awesome. The young woman who helped us was great, and we appreciated it. The food was so so. Next time we will eat before taking the paddlewheel. Overall a good experience but the meal fell short.

Everything we expected great staff, very knowledgeable, guide and funny. You can wander around any part of the boat you want. If you get too hot, you can head downstairs into the air conditioning grab a beverage at the bar. And even purchased a lunch if you’re hungry, we chose not to.

Charlie Chesnut was a really informative and entertaining tour guide. The boat trip was serene and the tour was filled with facts and dry humour - just our cup of tea. Ranger Harry also gave us a good talk at the battle field. All in all, a really enjoyable experience.

This was a last minute outing on a recent trip to NOLA, I was interested by the description of a narrative about the 1815 Battle of New Orleans and a stop at Chalmette Battlefield while riding on the Mississippi; I was not disappointed. The narrator, Charles Chesnutt , was one of those people who can make a dry subject (history) witty and interesting, while still being informative. So, if you would like a ride on a riverboat queen and learn a little about NOLA and the local area, while still enjoying yourself, this may be for you.

Jazz music, boat ride, and creole buffet all in one. Highly recommended if you just want to relax and enjoy jazz music. My husband and I had so much fun. We also met good people around us. It is two hour trip.

What food was availble with the buffet? I'm a vegetarian so I was just wondering if it would be worth it for me to pay the extra cost.

Hi, there was a salad I believe, red beans and rice, cornbread muffins and bread pudding that would be suitable for a vegetarian. Not sure if those dishes are vegan safe, though. There was also gumbo, jambalaya and seafood pasta.

If I purchase the lunch buffet on this historical cruise, are water, iced tea, or soft drinks included? Or will I need to pay for these separately? Also are we still able to visit the buffet after the battlefield or can we only eat on the way there?

Lunch was served after we returned to the boat after the battlefield visit. I can’t quite remember but I think soft drinks were included - but definitely water was available

No, they don’t have a dress code. We felt over dressed (black sequin dress, heels, dress pants & dress shirt). Most people were in casual clothes. Some even had t-shirts, hoodies and jeans.

Can we park close by that is secure and can leave a car for most of the day,and how are the prices say to park for 12 hrs.?

There's parking by the Hilton hotel and mall that is right there. New Orleans is terrible when it comes to driving in the city. So much traffic, construction and small lanes.

Hi, sebjab28. What would you like to know about this attraction? Did you have to turn in your groupon voucher and get a ticket to get inline to get on the boat?

There is a small ticket office next to where the cruise departs but as the ticket booth is quite small the queues can get very long. So you properly need to get there a bit earlier (at least 30 min before) . You need to have an official ticket before you can get on board

We thought the historical cruise was excellent and highly recommend it. They have a lunch buffet with jazz music on the return trip from the battlefield so you can have a little bit of the "jazz cruise" ambience AND enjoy the history tour.
