‪I see a single low review and have to weigh in. I live a mile from Happy Feet and have been many times (20? 30?). They are very good people and run a clean, professional operation. It isn't the Gene Juarez Salon & Spa (which I've also been to 20 or 30 times) where you are pampered and every whim is catered to for $200. It is $50-60 one hour massage by strong, hard working people who follow a standard approach to massage which incorporates reflexology and other Chinese massage techniques. With many of the employees, English is a second language and their skills are limited but there is always someone there that speaks English well. With a little patience, you can get a very good massage for a bargain price (seriously....where else in Seattle is anything this cost effective?). In addition, you get some exposure to another culture. I have taken my kids for years too. They take credit cards, but if you have cash you get a price break. They are on the Metro bus line and in 2020, the Light Rail station opens around the corner. Try it!‬

‪Absolutely horrible experience, I don't understand why there are so many positive reviews for this place. If I have the choice I wouldn't even give them one star. My wife and her friend visited this place for a foot message on June 13, 2016 while she was visiting Seattle. On the very next day she found both of her feet from ankle and above exploded with tiny puffy red dots that resemble flea bite marks I saw on the internet. They were extremely itchy to the point that my wife couldn't sleep for nights! It took over one week for the itchiness and the redness to subside. This place is extremely filthy and I wonder why the Seattle Health Department didn't shut it down. Here are the observations my wife made while she was there:

1. Moist uncleaned towels were used, these towel could have been used by previous customer and perhaps only washed occasionally. These towels could be infested with fleas and bacteria.

2. They used a wooden basin to soak my wife's feet without a plastic liner. The wooden basin was old and dirty, again it could also be infested with fleas and bacteria.

3. The middle age male practitioner was probably over worked and has no strength to apply proper pressure throughout the session. He has very bad breath to the point that my wife wanted to stop and leave.

4. The premises has a seriously sanitation issue, it has a foul smell soon as you walked in. There is absolutely no reason why anybody want to come in and get infested.

My wife took photos of the red bite marks but unfortunately I am unable to post them here.
For those who wish to continue their visits, my advice is make sure you are not bring home any unwanted little friends such as fleas and bedbugs.

Your happy feet will never be happy anymore after you visited Happy Feet!‬
