Pikes market resembles open markets in China, Israel various cities in Europe. It is a Landmark that is thankfully preserved for future generations to experience in America; besides the fruit and many flower stands, it is worth going downstairs to the small Asian stores.

μια ψαραγορά αυτό είναι όλο. για όσους δεν έχουν δει σε άλλες πόλεις εντάξει το θέαμα με τα ψάρια καλό. για εμάς ταλαιπωρία, πολυκοσμία, δεν μπορούσες να σταθείς και να περπατήσεις, οσμή και βρωμιά σε όλο το κτίριο. ειδικά αν πατήσεις με τα παπούτσια σου τα νερά που είναι γεμάτος ο χώρος θα μεταφέρεις την οσμή όπου πας. με λίγα λόγια πολλά λένε για αυτό το μέρος και λίγα θα δείτε.

The famous fish toss and fun to watch. I would recommend going early in the day before the crowds roll in. We loved watching both the staff and people who ordered fish get to throw their fish (salmon and octopus).

Amazing place to go and experience the atmosphere! Along with being iconic, it also has other produce, trinkets, souvenirs, etc.

The fish market was one of the main reasons that we wanted to visit the market. We loved watching the people there throwing fish (salmon) back and forth. However, perhaps the best thing was tossing back the oyster shooters. Yum!

We stopped in front of the stall to watch the famous fish toss. I was in awe of how fast they were., so much so that I failed to even get a photo! It was a lot of fun to see though, and it's probably not something you're going to see anywhere else. If you are in the market be sure to stop by the booth, you may have to wait a little bit until someone buys a whole fish, the best bet is to go early when the restaurants are down to buy their fish for the day.

One of the highlights of the public market area. Aside from the fish throwing gamesmanship, they actually deliver to every part of America. Not only they sell fish , but also various other marine species. They open early , so they close early.

So many positive reviews about this place, but my husband & I thought it was overrated. They only threw the fish if someone bought one. (Which didn’t happen much.). We were expecting a huge warehouse of just fish on ice for sale, but with only two small stalls, our local grocery store’s selection is bigger.

I bought an 8 lb. Alaskan King Salmon at the Fish Market and had it prepped to take home to Denver. The fishmongers there were extremely friendly and helped me pick out just the right fish to pack up for the plane. Upon opening it back in Denver, though, I was extremely disappointed to see that my very favorite part of the fish - the belly fat - had been removed without my having asked for that to be done. I am happy to say that after expressing my disappointment to the Fish Company via email, they immediately called me to rectify the situation. Honestly, I was blown away by the speed and thoughtfulness with which Hillary and the Pike Place Fish Market responded to my concern, and I will definitely make it a point to visit this special place again on my next trip to Seattle!

Whenever a customer purchases fish, they toss the fish throughout the area and to the guy in the back to prep it for sale. It's pretty entertaining.

The weather is usually great in August. It can be hot but it is not usually humid. We don't get much rain in August. You can get all kinds of seafood at the market as well as other fresh produce. You can get some fresh water fish but the specialty is seafood like salmon and crab.

I was in Lahaina (Maui Island) and is really nice go there for dinner, around 8 p.m. There is another Fish market in Paia (Maui Island) in the North!

The Market is a block long, two sides of the street affair underneath the Pike Place Market sign. Most of the time, especially the week-end, there are lots of folks but the variety of fruit, flowers, fish and all manner of good things to eat and drink make it worthwhile. Hope you found it!
