My wife and I have seen a handful of plays and musicals at the Omaha Community Playhouse, but we can no longer attend since the seating is inaccessible. I am a fat woman and I had to painfully squeeze into the chair, scraping my legs which left bruises.
The shows were wonderful, but the seats are way too small to comfortably sit and the rows are long with small aisles, making it difficult to stand during intermission

We saw A Raisin in the Sun for one of our date nights and it was well worth the money. The seating was perfect in the front row of the balcony. The play was 3 hours with an intermission in the middle. We really enjoyed it.

My mother-in-law and I attended the final performance of Ragtime at the Omaha Community Theater and were blown away with the quality of the cast, the vocalists and the music. OCT is known for being a "farm team" for Broadway and Hollywood (Marlon Brando, Henry Fonda, etc.) and Ragtime was yet another reminder of how special this theater and this underrated city is. Bravo, Ragtime cast!

A 2 local bus trip/ride-share/drive will get you to and from Omaha Community Playhouse that (as judged by their production of RAGTIME The Musical) is a capable community theatrical organization with high performance values and talented locals in a comfortable and intimate theatre. Box office staff are kind and helpful and may be able to provide "twilight" (same-day rush) tickets at a price that rivals movie theatres

For local talent this is a great theater. Good Parking area and two theaters. Nice bar and seating area for before performance or during intermission. Enough restrooms to accommodate the crowd. Prices are moderate for performances and many options for the family.

We have lived in Seattle, Shreveport, New York, Los Angeles and many other smaller cities but Omaha has the best Community Theater we've ever attended. Last night we saw their 43 annual performance of A Christmas Carol. DELIGHTFUL!

The venue is spacious with ample parking. There website needs updating with better more prominent address and directions section. We watched Shrek the musical. Good performance but clearly a community level talent. This performance was well attended by families with kids of all ages. Good entertainment. Would definitely support again.

I loved Billy McGuigan's Rave On in December so was looking forward to Rock Twist. I was extremely disappointed. It was neither Rock nor Twist. Frank Sinatra and show tunes are neither. I have attended at least 25 different performances in last 6 years at OCP and this was the first clunker. Everything else has been above expectation.

The Playhouse is an Omaha treasure. Top-notch community theater. We have been many, many times and have never had a bad experience.

Performing for their 10th consecutive year at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Yesterday and Today is a tribute to the Beatles band by local singers who also traveled nationally. Jay Hanson plays a great George Harrison with 12 guitars. McGuigans do a great job of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Great audience participation and this is a must see when they return each year.
