I have always enjoyed stopping at the Vinovium for they offed a different vibe from conventional wineries and tasting rooms. While they have some proprietary wines, they wines and cider from tapas, bottles, tastings, and more. The staff is kn ok wledgeable and entertaining, as us their dog, Nacho. The porch is a nice place to drink a glass or bottle. They also gave monthly events including Prime Rib night and Opera night. Worth checking out!

I'm very picky about my Texas wineries. Many of them only have sweet wines and others just havent figured out what they are doing yet. That being said, there are some good ones now. I love Hawks Shadow and Calais. Vinovium is different though. It's fun and playful while still taking its wine very seriously. They have unique blends that you won't find anywhere else. They also purchase grapes from all over the world so you can try many different varietals side by side. I bought a keg of wine here for my daughter's wedding, and it was a big hit. If you're in the area you really should try it, but go in with an open mind.

Daniel was very friendly & attentive. We loved all but one of the selections in the tasting (but it wasn’t bad) and the charcuterie platter was delicious. Great relaxing venue with lots of events. So glad we found this place & will definitely return!!

Vinovium is kind of hard to describe. It is sort of a wine bar, sort of a picnic spot, and much more. They have about ten wines and a cider or two on tap. And bottles from various wineries. They have cheese and meat platters whenever they are open and BBQ on weekends. And they are open late, especially on weekends. An interesting place to work into an all day visit to the Hill Country.

I’ve been drinking wine for 30 years. I think I know when you’re served bad wine. We had lunch there the BBQ was okay. There’s lots of parking but only one restroom.

Lots of drink options and wine on tap. Fun patio with corn-hole for some entertainment. Fair warning, the vineyard dogs like to play too. 😊

Great atmosphere, the staff is hands on and I love the dog here. Wine tours are in and out and they still have great service for anyone outside of it. Two wine tours came while we sat outside and the staff still was very attentive.

We had an excellent time here. We popped in and found a wide variety of wines on tap from Texas and other places - the Texas Chenin Blanc was simply delicious and the Washington State Syrah was incredibly mellow and flavorful. Who knew wines could be on tap?
Daniel and Sally were great hosts and really know their wines - we learned a lot talking with them. We didn’t have any of the wine cocktails, but lots of people were drinking them and we heard many good comments about how good they were.
It’s a laid back, fun place. We’ll be back!

This is located a few miles out from Johnson City heading to Fredericksburg. It is on the right side of the road and had a banner to let you know it was ahead. I’m not sure we would have seen it otherwise.
A nice little place not to far off Hwy. 290 with a country setting. We were able to park in the shade of a tree. We were greeted by Nacho, the resident dog.
As we walked up we noticed some seating under the oak trees with a nice breeze blowing in. There is a covered outdoor deck area with table seating and some long lumber bar style seating. Inside there is a small bar and about four small tables. They have the novelty of “wine on tap” as well as bottled wine in different varieties from different regions.
The staff was very friendly and Nacho would come in and out as he greeted visitors without being obtrusive at all. The place is very casual and easy going. The tasting is six 2 oz. from a select list for $15. You can also buy wine by the ½ glass, full glass or bottle with a reasonable pricing. They have cheese boards as well.
All though the Venito Sparking Moscato is not one on tap, it was a nice choice for a hot Texas summer day.
Good place to kick back and relax and we hope to return in the future as the staff was very welcoming.

Although ample parking was available and tastings were reasonably priced, the hospitality extended to us was brutally cold and unwelcoming. No wonder we were the only guests on the premises!! Even if this place had the best wines available, we would never return nor order any products hereafter. "Sally" was uninviting, rude and non-conversational. As a result, we hurriedly finished our tasting and left as soon as possible due to her lack of hospitality. I strongly recommend not to bother visiting here. There are many more enjoyable places where you can actually enjoy the wine and surroundings.
