We have been 10 days surfing with Mocean and it was and awesome experience
Samuel, Miguel and Andri were amazing with all of us. We were 4 surfers with different levels and they have always take care of us.
We will repeat for sure!!!

If you are looking for a place to learn how to surf or to improve your skills around Peniche, look no further! We chose the school because of the great ratings here and... They could not have been more true.
Samuel is an amazing teacher. He plans sessions around the tides and conditions and does not stick to a set time - always looking to find the best conditions for the students! We never went to an overcrowded place. Samuel provides essential knowledge on surf theory and after basically every wave gives you some feedback on what you can do better on the next one. Incredible helpful! ;-)
We spent almost two weeks surfing with him and improved a lot, more than in any other surf school. Samuel also asked if we would like to join a surfskate lessons and man... This was helpful :D Again, great teaching! If you are looking to work on your surf technique while on land, this is a really cool way to create some muscle memory!
All in all, Samuel just provided the perfect package for us. Mocean surf is not as big as many in the area and thus it almost feels like family ;-) Any time we are back in the peniche area (rather sooner than later), we will for sure come back to Samuel to surf with him!

Due to a long-term stay in Peniche I can take classes with Samuel and Andre every weekend, and I am looking forward to it every single time! For me as an absolute beginner, they explain everything really and are also extremely patient if I take a little longer to implement things. Group sizes are always really small, so you will get detailed feedback after almost every wave. Moreover, they pick you up from where you live in an amazing van to give you the real surfer vibe and equip you with everything you need. The boards will be according to your skills and the wetsuit according to the water temperature. End of November by now and I wasn’t cold once ;).

Best surf coaching, beach and equipment I ever had. Im a beginner ( I can stand up in big boards like 8 x 31 x very thick and that's it just turn a little bit) my girlfriend almost cannot swim ( no surf at all).
1. Lessons: Always punctual. Samuel and Andre make a big effort to teach you, they don't go surfing while you are struggling, they help you, push you to catch waves, show you the best positioning, advice you how to turn, give you always a good feedback to the everyone in the class and never leave anyone alone and of course they give a detailed explanation of the pop up(in case of my girlfriend rotate hips key for her to stand up). My girlfriend never had a knee on a surfboard and after 3 classes she could stand up.
2. Place: I have been in a few places and I cannot imagine a better place in europe to learn or improve your surfing abilities. Here there are spots for everyone(advanced beginner or intermediate) and they will take you to places depending on your skill. In my case (beginner) we went to a beach that had mellow waves with goood size I could not ask for more. The water is clear big beach waves for everyone and a lot of options in case is big you always go to lagide or another option.
3. Equipment. This guys has have all kind of boards (softech which is a very good brand) from the biggest to the smallest one which is super important for the learning curve. For example if you are a complete beginner and you start with a not so wide board it will be more difficult to learn if the first day you use the widest board and then the next day you get the usual beginner board. They have everything.

Professional, fun, they definitely do their best for you to improve your surfing skills while having a great time!

What a great day surfing at Peniche and Baleal beaches 🌊. Huge thanks for having so much patience and helping us learn surfing in a great way. Their ways of explaining are very clear and they get you up and on the waves in no time if you listen to what they say and focus. The following day I wanted to rent surfing equipment, and although they rent equipment, they reffered us to someone else to make our lives simpler in carrying the baord and equipment. I was also confident enough to try surfing on my own after doing lessons with Mocean. Big up dudes !! Whenever back in Baleal, will definitely give surfing a go with these guys. Apart from being professional, they are really amazing and really fun peeps.

Dank den Jungs von Mocean Surf hatten wir die perfekten Surf Sessions! Selbst im Wasser haben wir unendlich viele Tipps bekommen, würden sofort wieder hin! On Top gab's guten Humor, Sonnen Creme und Abholservice.

We have selected a few lessons for children. It was safe and a nice experience. The children (9 and 11 years old) were very happy. They made great progress. School Mocean was the best choice. We recommend it!
