I want to first start and say that im not pleased at all with Legoland nor Groupon!
Where to start first i arrived with my son my autistic gran daughter and disabled husband to have a day planned for my son who was sick around Christmas This day was to be special for him. That changed after driving two hours to get there i cut my foot on the way to the door i asked the lady for a band aid and she was like they have to get a mgr to do that. Then i paid on Groupon for our tickets my son and mine the others i bought on the Legoland website the night before. I purchased the tickets on 2/25 for my son. The front desk older lady was very sarcastic from the time we arrived with the band aid situation now the tickets. We cant used the paperwork you have need the barcode and gave the fake as smile so i stood there looking for a barcode that i didnt know i needed. I couldnt get to it so i had to buy new tickets at the counter because i schedule the 3:30 time frame to give us time to get there and here it is almost 3pm. I was told i could get with Groupon but doubt i get my money back same lady being sarcastic. I went ahead and bought the tickets because my son really wanted to go inside he is 6 years old. We went inside and the guy with the cheap white table with the legos was telling my son to build a lego piece but then says dont lean on the table sir the table is cheap why dont you have a better table for kids hee then tells my son dont use to many of the pieces at one time! ( what) my son got sad and walked away he is huge lego fan but i calmed him down the man told me to do a google review! ( SMH) my son runs over to this play arear where there look like a slip area so him and my grand daughter went over to the area to play only for an emplotee to say no you cant do that either. At this point what can they do? I called my husband he was near the door up front his leg was bothering him he is handicapped and wanted something to eat and drink so he didnt know there was a food area inside instead of the sarcastic woman explaining that when you walk out you cant come back and that they serve food. She told him you cant come back now. he was only inside for 10 mins near the front. he said well ill go get alcohol then and sit out here. I explained to the lady he didnt know and nor did we see a sign or no one told us of that. At this point call the mgr i want a a refund this was not fun for my kid nor us. The mgr came tried to help me get Groupon on the phone and i couldnt get a refund for that ticket i bought it was too late according to them and lego land wouldn't scan the Groupon ticket and just refund me for the ones i purchased at the door. He comp my husband ticket but as i was talking to him the sarcastic lady came back again interrupting our conversation to stated that she told my husband he could not come back in. Lady we are not talking to you and we are good thank you. Not knowing she went outside told my husband i dont care she talking to mgmt and i dont care how long yall where here if you walk out your out! The mgr gave us a discount on the store for my son. My son also went to the play area to play and was told he couldnt have his shoes off with his socks didnt see that sign either. he never got to do the movie and anything else as i was busy trying to get my family together all in one place so for 30 minsI nor my son got to enjoy legoland. I had an autistic grandbaby nor verbal i had to watch on top of all of this which is why i needed my husband to be there to help walk with the kids, We left right out people that were other parents were mad for me and apologized it was not a good experience and the extra money i had brought i had to purchase tickets for him and me which was for his lego toys he wanted. So thanks Legoland and Groupon for f-ing my son experience up. He cried in the car because he really wanted his mom to play and his dad to be there to see him do the fun stuff. To Leon the Gm and the young lady who called him for me thank you for trying to fix some of the situation and the nice person Lee in the toy room who apologized to me and tried to help me get a toy for my son with the money i had left. I think mgmt. needs to be able to approve certain things and to the sarcastic lady at the from with the braids your customer service is bull. When people come here explain how the place operates should not be in a mall with a whole food court it should be optional if you want to get food right at the door of the place or inside that looked dead in the food area people were leaving just to eat.

We did the Behind the Brick tour and had the best time!! My son is obsessed with Legos, and there was so much to do! I love how everyone took time to make sure we had fun.

NOTE: MANY of the pictures attached to this location are not what is currently there.... For as much as the tickets were per person, I was rather unimpressed.
1. Mini lego person - You had about 2 options for each part (head, body, legs, and hat/hair). I ended up finding someone's lego person which looked the exact same as my kids.... so yeah, everyone comes out with roughly the same person, you just had to put it together.
2. The Kingdom Quest ride - This was my son's favorite, but not all the guns worked. In fact, on one of the cars, only 2 of the 5 guns worked. Thankfully it was just me and my son so I was able to use one from the back up front so that we could still both shoot. The other car we were in, 2 of the 3 up front worked most of the time. The ride needs some updating/love.
3. The big lego display is pretty cool, but there were only a few buttons for noises or any movements which more than half didn't work.
4. The 4D cinema - This needs the most love. Beware - It sprays you a bit. I'm not sure if the video part needs recalibrating or they just need new glasses. Ultimately, there was nothing "popping off the screen" like it should... In fact, it was so off that it was disorienting and extremely nauseating. I ended up covering one eye for the majority of the movie or closing them both and just listening.
5. $6 Activity pack - Don't do it. It's basically a lanyard with some things to do that you are already prompted to do at each station. The "stamps" are basic embossing stamps that barely show up and are not currently labeled for this location. (They were using Washington DC cards from what I could tell which didn't exactly correlate to ATL.)
6. $7 mini fig add on - This is basically a small lego pack. My son got this technic construction thing that probably would have cost less in the store on the way out. If I had known ahead of time, I wouldn't have done it and just bought him a nicer set on the way out for a few dollars more.
While I can see this being a really great place to bring my kid if we were local and had a membership (making each trip super cheap), I struggle knowing how much I spent for us both to go and how little there was overall. Thankfully my son LOVES legos and loved the car ramps and we were able to discuss some technical engineering things regarding how the ramps were different and required adjustments to the cars for each, but it was a bit of a letdown overall. If you kid could put together a larger set without much help, this would probably be a good choice if in town visiting, but if your kid is only mildly interested in Legos, I'd likely steer clear and spend your money elsewhere.

We visited the LEGO Discovery center on a Friday early afternoon. It was not busy when we arrived. The first station you go to is to build your own LEGO figure that you will carry around with you while you are there and it can go on some simulated adventures in a few places. The options for building your character were few and far between and definitely nothing besides faces that were female to pick from.
The second thing we did was a little ride where 5 people can go round shooting at targets to earn points. Your points show up on a screen in front of you. Of the 5 people playing on the first time through 2 of our guns did not show a laser pointed. It was scoring, but you had no idea what you were aiming at. We notified the employees who didn't really seem to care. The second time we rode, we got a different car, and my gun this time had a laser, but it recorded zero points, even though it was buzzing like it would when you actually hit a target. Again informed an employee. No response or apology.
We moved on to the Lego are where there were built legos of stadiums and city scenes. This was cool for the kids to look at. There was a word scramble where you could find letters to decode something, We think we found the letters but could never figure out what the word or phrase was supposed to be.
We moved on to an area where they could build cars from Legos/make a spaceship that flew around virtually and a large play area which the boys we had with us 9/10/7 enjoyed.
There is also a 4D movie which is honestly one of THE MOST OBNOXIOUS 4D movies I have ever experienced. First, there is something off with that movie. When you have your glasses on it's really not clear. Second the water feature of he 4D experience is literally like someone is spraying you in the face with a hose REPEATEDLY. This is not a one time thing that happens. I had to get up after the 2nd time is happened bc it was just WAY TOO MUCH.
The gift shop was "ok" you could make your own Lego guy to take home, again which didn't have very many options for a female character. There is a big machine where you can design your own shirt for $13. I was asking an employee about it and she didn't seem to think it was anything particularly special in regards of trying to sell it to me, so we went with the $5 version.
All in all this is not a place I would ever go more than once, and even that was probably too many times.

Too little to do for the money. Better off to buy your child a $50 lego set and find a nice city park to play in. Ok experience for 1 hour but a lot of money.

We were in Atlanta for Spring Break with five kids, ages from 5-16. The oldest two are boys & the younger three are girls so it is hard to find something that everyone can enjoy doing together. Everyone enjoyed this activity! So many pictures, so much laughing, it was a really good time! The movie theater is right across the hall & the food court is right downstairs. It was a great day, would definitely recommend!

Honestly a rip off as a parent, but my 6 & 9 year old had fun. We stayed about 75 mins and then they were ready to go. There isn’t much to do here for the price, but I was glad to see the smiles on their faces. I thought the ride cost extra, but it didn’t. I was pleased to discover that. We rode it more than once. The boys loved the 4D movie and the playground. If you have Lego fans, I say go. My husband sat this one out to save the money and he didn’t miss a thing. This is really strictly for kids and it’s always a shame to make the adults pay the same amount of money to simply chaperone, but not surprised.

I took four kids ages 5-8 and we had a great time. We took advantage of the homeschool discount they offered for weekdays in February, which was a great deal and it wasn't crowded at all. They got to do the master builder class (15-20 minutes), the 4D movie (15 min), and the laser gun ride 3x. They also enjoyed the play ground and the rocket building/interactive video game activity. We did not purchase the VR ride. We spent a solid 3 hours there but did not purchase food. We also exited out the front instead of through the store to avoid any meltdowns about things I wasn't prepared to purchase. They have already asked about going back.

I am not sure which age group would enjoy this as my 6 year old grandson found it “boring”. The only thing we enjoyed was the virtual reality ride which was an extra $6. Save yourself some money and just buy a Lego set of your own.

The kids and I had a blast. It's located inside Phillips plaza - I didn't know about parking they had a parking garage attached but I didn't know if it was free so I parked in front. You have to take the escalators or elevator to the 3rd floor and there you'll find Legoland. Quick entry after scanning tickets. All the workers had smiles and were super friendly. Upon entering there's barrels of Legos and the super nice lady described that we could create on our lego - Torso, head, hair and legs (BUT......you don't get to keep it and have to return it before you leave). They had a photo stand where you could scan your ticket and take a photo with your family. They had a virtual reality room with 6 (I think) chairs. This was an additional $6 since it wasn't Included in my ticket price. It lasted less than 5 minutes I think. The kids enjoyed it though. Theres a room where they've replicated the city of Atlanta - super cool and very detailed. Then we did this ride around interactive thing. It was super fun. You got to shoot and earn points. There was a 4d movie theater - it was really nice. The chairs didn't move, but you did get to feel weather elements. Then there was a station where you could create your own spaceship and use it on a screen. There's a lego playground where the master builder helped kids create devices to play on the set up there. Lastly there's pirate Island with slides and little jungle gym for kids. They had a softer playground for the little kids too and Legos throughout. They had a party area. They had a dining area with Starbucks too. Then the catcher - the lego store as you leave. Overall, it was very family friendly and really fun. I think it was worth the price if you're able to get a discount. We stayed about 2.5 hrs.

Why is there only a time slot from 3 to 4 when buying tickets online? I checked all days and there is no earlier time.

We took the kids on a weekdayand went in the minute it opened. Only around :00 did a group of kids on a field trip come in. We had no lines and easy seating in the theater. Even when the class group came in, it was not crowded until after 1:00. Have fun!

Are small dogs that are in a carry purse allowed in. He is a emotional support dog.
كُتب بتاريخ 28 فبراير 2018
I would think simply as an outsider that as long as the dog is classified as an emotional support dog and contained in a purse, you may be ok..but I would call the attraction and talk to a staff member there to make sure. I may be completely wrong. There are a lot of people there and as there may be people coming in who are allergic or afraid of dogs, it's quite possible you won't be able to do this.

Can you bring outside food in, i.e. Snacks for kids, bagged lunch, etc? This is not answered on the FAQs page.
كُتب بتاريخ 11 يوليو 2017
The Discovery Center is on the 3rd Floor of a mall. They have a Snack Bar, which we have never used.
We usually pack sandwiches in lunch box and use food court tables. Food court includes Johnny Rockets, Moe's, Earl of Sandwich.

Is this for children of all ages my nephew is turning 10 and I was thinking about taking him? Also is it a water park if so how is is?
كُتب بتاريخ 13 مارس 2017
It's more of a Discovery center not the actual park. I think your 10 year old nephew will enjoy it there. It has a 4d theater and a miny ride where you go and try to save the princess. They also have a lego and water table that you can make legos
