Staff offered information about sheep and other animals. The sheep show demonstrates sheep shearing, the use of sheep dogs, and how to separate sheep into various stalls. Nice little café on the premises offers a tasty lunch meal. Beautiful setting, including a nature walk and animal farm.

Dropped in to grab a coffee and rest break. Great cafe and clean toilets. Didn’t go through to visit the animals but had a lovely break in the fenced off picnic area

Fab day out with my 3 year old. We watched the show and it was so informative and fun. Excellent farm with lots of animals to feed. Only let down was the food, salmon bagel was very lacking. Awesome fun, will be back, although probably with a picnic.

Great place for the family fun, nice to see many kinds of farm animals the sheep and dog show was funny and very informative . We had a great time there.

Nice sheep show when we arrived there. Also lot of farm animals to interact with here. they are all in their enclosures and you can feed them while enjoying the great farm. Great activity for kids and they learn a lot. We will go back again.

I FEEL SORRY FOR ALL ANIMALS LIVING IN THIS PLACE.
Entrance fee is high with NZD 14.50 compared to what you experience. Most animals cages look modest and not suitable to the animals needs. For example, pigs need to be able to cover themselves in mood as a sun protection. Today was a sunny day and no surprise the pigs skin was sun burned as there was no shadowing and no mood coming from a ponch or so. The stuff seems unprofessional as they are talking to the animals as if they were their babies. The water of the lake with the eals looks dirty, definitely not good for the fishes health. Most of the animals such as sheep, alpacas, cows, donkeys, goats seem to be bored and are behaving disordered. The rabbits should not be kept in tiny dark cages, the should be able to hop around and dig borrows.

We wanted to see a sheep shearing show but avoid the overly-commercial places, and this was the perfect choice! Well worth driving from around Auckland, the show was funny and very informative at the same time and it made me really appreciate all the wool products even more now that we know how much work and know-how they require. Kids that were watching the show got a chance to feed the baby goats and lambs, which looked like a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience for them <3 Also nice to walk around seeing & feeding the other animals. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to say thank you so so much such an amazing day, I was so impressed with how lovely and informative all your staff were. I learnt so much and I was just blown away with their kindness and enthusiasm! Sheep world is one of the most amazing animal places I’ve ever been and I loved every minute of it! Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed learning about sheep shearing & working dogs. Very knowledgeable staff & enjoyable show.

Been here twice upon my return to NZ. Great place to take kids but equally as fun and interesting for adults.
The shearing is interesting and watching the sheep dog work is great.
The eco trail walk is beautiful amd keep and eye out for eels.
Would definitely recommend
