Big and lots of space to walk through and sit. Walk or drive to top hill and park. From there you can walk to your right (West) and go sit down and eat under umbrellas or continue on into Coy fish pond which snakes down the hill south. Bathrooms are located at top of hill to Left, slightly South, where it also snakes down south to entrance with fountains and rose gardens galore.

We stumbled upon this botanical garden and we were delighted to have found it. Entrance to the gardens is free, but donations are requested. There are different garden areas representing different climates. For example, desert, meadows, native, etc. The walking paths were clearly marked and easy to follow. The view from the highest point was beautiful.

While visiting Thousand Oaks I was looking for a nearby place to spend some time on a beautiful sunny. The Conejo Valley Botanical Garden did not disappoint. The gardens were peaceful and relaxing in an unrushed way allowing one to enjoy them at their own pace.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to take a short hike in our already beautiful town. The plants and trees are laid out and labeled nicely, and it is free to use. Recommend it for all out-of-town guests.

It's a beautiful stroll around the gardens and even has a nature trail that's about 3/4 of a mile. Spectacular spring flowers including Matilija Poppys in May.

This is a nice stroll up and around a hill in the middle of the city. Access at Conejo Community Park. Most of the plants are labeled. There are several different areas with specific types of plants. Gorgeous view of the city at the top of the hill. If you walk around the hill you'll come to a path that follows a stream and has interpretative signs. There are also lots of benches if you want to sit and enjoy the surroundings. This is a good activity for families, groups, friends or solo. I've gone alone, have taken girl scouts and have visited often with a friend or two. Very pleasant.

We visited this botanic garden on a Saturday and it was not terribly crowded. The parking area is small and was nearly full due to a kids game going on in same recreation area. The trails are short and easy and our friend’s large dogs had an easy time of it and with a lot of shady spots, we could sit (benches) and relax a bit. There’s not a whole lot blooming right now as we probably have missed the full bloom but it was still tranquil and green. We were able to spend about an hour walking the trails before getting too hot. You must pack it in and out as there are no trash services. Recommendation would be to bring lots of water for you and your dog. Entrance here can be tricky through phone GPS so it’s better to follow the signs posted on the streets when you are on the main road. There’s no fee to park or enter so a very nice place to just get out for a bit and enjoy nature.

This is little more than a public park with accent on walking trails, a baseball diamond and picnic areas. A true botanical garden it is not, especially when compared to UCLA’s, but it is altogether pleasant in its own limited way.

During winter almost all plants are dormant or dried. But the rare fruit orchards have some interesting fruits, such as white sapote.
We had a nice afternoon taking a leisure walk there and an astonishing view over the Thousand Oaks.

It was a little chilly the day we visited. Most of the flowers were gone but the cacti were prevalent and the scenery from the top was spectacular.
